Sam SpreadsheetFollow

Just a little note:

Revised sam spreadsheet, uploaded new version.

Uses new, clean format layout. Includes Meditate (and Meditate merits), Zanshin/Hasso-Zanshin/Ikishoten (properly calculated now), Zanshin merits, Overwhelm merits, and general cleanup.

Meditate is assumed to give a simple 1.5 weaponskills per time gap. The value 1.5 is used on the assumption that Sekkanoki will tend to increase efficiency, so you'll tend to get close to the full benefit of Meditate (~150 TP on average with AF head and relic hands). There's also an over-time value that you can specify, to indicate how much time past the recast timer your average use of Meditate is.

Let me know if you find any issues.

Something must be off or I'm making some mistakes here.

With same buffs and top gear for both MNK and SAM the total DPS for MNK shows as 3 times higher than SAM, theres gotta be some error there.

On a side note, keep up the good work man, your tools help a lot, great contribution to the FFXI fan-base :)


This was using all the standards allready set in the xml, no changes except gear.

Looking over it I think it's the atma buffs that isn't calculated in. On the Data page it doesn't add up any of the atma buffs like it does on the MNK xml. Hope this helps.

There's a flag for whether or not you're inside Abysssea (first item in the options column of settings). If you're not in abyssea, no cruor or atma buffs get applied; far simpler than having to manually turn off all the buff values when you want outside values.

The sam spreadsheet uploaded has Abyssea off; I'm not sure on mnk, but I'd assume that it's on.

Two other bugs were found and fixed; new version uploaded.

Fixed bug in Store TP total, and bug in melee hits per round for set 2. Made a few adjustments in gear. New version uploaded.

Fixed another bug in set 2, for zanshin hits per round. Made merits selectable for each set individually instead of just copied over, to facilitate comparing different merit setups. Added zanshin info to various gear (most based on test results, a couple just set to match the others).
