Would yu use this? I find it disapointing it doesn't increase breath, or something in addition to skill.

If that Blue Magic Skill pushes you into another skill tier, then it'd likely beat out any other back piece for physical spell damage.

(Blue Magic Skill*0.11)*2 + 3

All decimals are ignored. Basically, if (skill*.11) is a new whole number, you've hit a new tier.

Apparently with all other blue+ gear you can hit 500 skill giving you 10 occulation shadows.

I thought I had most the blue magic skill gear and I only have 497 skill capped.
What am I missing?

8/8 blue magic skill merits: 16 skill
Mirage Keffiyeh +2: 7 skill
Mirage Charuqs +2: 3 skill
Magus Jubbah +1: 15 skill
Mavi Tayt +2: 15 skill
Mavi Scarf: 4 skill
Mavi Tathlum: 5 skill
Symbios gloves: 4 skill
Zaffre cape: 3 skill

I don't have Antica ring, but that would only bring it up to 499.

Kheper wristbands have +5, and the HQ has +8. I believe blood greaves can get +4. Aaand if you're in salvage, you can get +3 from ksi sash! Smiley: schooled

Thank you.

I left the sash out because of the salvage condition.
Blood greaves get same blue magic skill as mirage +2

but the Kheper Wristbands take it away.

As long as the skill breaks you into a new tier, would you choose to cast physical spells in max skill over specific stat boosts?

Breaking a tier just adds 2 base damage and an amount of attack equal to the added blue magic skill. Keep in mind that every 4 str is one base damage plus attack at a 2:1 ratio, and secondary mods add base damage based on the spell, which chain affinity doubles.
