For the BRDs out there, this isnt a suprise. With songs, if you play song #1 with an instrument that gives song #1+, then play song #2 (with an instrument that does not benefit song #2), then play song #3, song #3 overwrites song #2 and not song #1.

For songs, the song with the least remaining duration was removed, its not a first in, first out scenario.

Its not suprising that the rolls work this way either, but its a fantastic note! Although it wont be fantastic if you get an Evokers roll #11, COR roll #5, then Chaos roll #4 XD

OK... I just discovered that if you roll two 11s, the oldest one is overwritten by the next roll. Makes sense, because if you couldn't overwrite, you wouldn't be able to double-up.

You need to step back and look at why you are complaining.

You are a corsair. You are a support job. And you're mad that a 10-minute bonus to your most powerful result means that you, personally, lose a buff?

Get some perspective.

Here's some advice: quit bitching and don't go for XI on Evokers. 5 is lucky so stay on that. 6 is the same as 7, 8 and better than 9 or bust. Given you only have 2 out of six chances at a better roll than 6, you might as well stop there. Thus ends your risk at landing an XI.

I only go for XI on Evokers if I'm in a Mage party and have both fold and snake eye up. In a meripo or xp party, never.

What exactly is the benefit to an occasional 10 minute roll? It just doesn't seem like it has any positive effects but can be pretty annoying.

Yes. And the part that is actually productive is the part where the party members who you have been invited to buff enjoy 15+ uninterrupted minutes with your most powerful result.

It's like people have no clue whatsoever why they have been invited.

The important question is whether a party member (say a melee that got in range of an evokers XI) will also keep that roll on them when you continue the cycle. You can't fold it off of him. :/

I've seen this incorrectly assumed and incorrectly stated in many places, likely due to S-E's imprecise wording in the update notes...

The new XI effect is NOT 10 minutes added to the normal roll duration. It is a 10 minute TOTAL time before Winning Streak merits.

Put another way, XI means normal Roll Time + 5 minutes.

I first noticed when I rolled XI Evoker's and XI Scholar's in a 75COR/37WHM 75WHM/37SCH duo and just left them up, since all we were doing was curebombing an NPC as part of one of the new Sandy WotG nation quests. I thought it wore faster than 15min (I have 0/5 Winning Streak), but didn't know if I was just being crazy. So I double-checked and it's definitely 10min total.

Easy to test - I just walked outside my Mog House, rolled XI Dancer's Roll, waited 10 minutes and watched it drop at the 10min mark. Still very nice and an unexpected boost, but not as strong as people are saying.

Maybe it was just my night but during an hour long mm pt I rolled 13 11's.

Try getting a Double XI on both mage rolls (was doing Evoker's and Wizard's for the 4 BLMs in my party and then melee rolls for me and the DRK). Was a mess, both time I got a 4, then a 5, and since it was on 9 and I didnt have a Bust on me I Double-Up both times and landed on XI, who would've thought? I then proceeded to do Chaos and Samurai for me and the DRK and lo and behold when I checked, I still had both mage rolls on me. Lesson learned? Stay on the damn Unlucky Numbers if you don't want to keep mage buffs for the next 9 minutes. Of course, I wasn't pissed, because even as a COR/WAR I am still a Support Job.
