So I'm sure many of you have had a chance to look at some of the new gear and how its obtained from various NM's in Abyssea. Was wondering what folks were considering the new essentials for the well geared COR.

I've got the Aurore Brais immediately as haste, RACC and ACC on a pant is outstanding.

But other items I was seriously pondering:
Libeccio Mantle RACC 10, RATT 10, Recycle 5. Seems a good shooting TP piece and even a decent WS piece if it lets you go with meat instead of sushi

Brisk Mask: Haste 4%, Store TP 4, Acc 6, Att 6 - sacrifice of 1% haste for 6 Acc and 4 store TP seems nice if you can get over a store TP tier or aren't hitting an Acc cap

Artemis medal - MAB and MACC varying with moon phase. Seen some stats indicating MAB varies from 5-15 which is pretty nice alternative to Uggly given it doesn't require fooling with MP and also has MACC

Aquiline Belt: MACC and MAB +3, RACC 6 - nice QD belt and better RACC than precise but not better for shooting than AF2.

Any other items people have their eyes on?

Thougt I'd put that in with my post but must have been distracted by Libeccio.
But yeah sharp eye is high on the list.

I'm going to answer based upon the last 5 years of optimizing my Thief, and 3 years of Warrior plus my own experience tweaking DD Corsair since ToAU release.

The comparison really comes down to:

8 Acc vs. 10 Dex, 2 Store TP, DA 2%.

Since 2 Dex = 1 Acc, we can reduce this to 3 Acc vs. 2 Store TP, DA 2%.

Yes, that's probably equal but personally I'd take the 3 Acc, if that were the only choice.

However, my current setup is:

Haste: 5% + 3% + 4% + 3% + 2% = 17%
DEX: 6
Acc: 10 + 10 + 10 + 3 + 7 + 3 = 43 + 3^DEX = 46

I would aim for more acc and haste in your setup honestly.

Well I'm wearing other things than just the body pieces. 5acc ring, rajas 5dex store tp 5, swift belt haste 4%, acc 4, PCC 10 Acc, suppa 4 acc,
So that moves me to 48 Acc 13 Dex, 15 Haste, 11 store TP.

Looks like I was mistaken. Did some more testing in a more controlled situation and TP returned was unaltered by number of aurore gear pieces worn. Must have taken some damage I didn't see in my prior quick test. Oh well. It was an interesting thought.

Also prob worth mentioning the augmented items coming out of the gold chests in there - I got a Demon's Ring with MAB+2, Magic Crit+2% and Resist Blind+1 out of a chest from the bats in Tahrongi Canyon which seemed pretty nifty for Quick Draw. Few different variations of that one around on BlueGarter (see the Augmented Items thread in Media).

Same chests were also throwing up Wivre Gorgets and Adaman Barbutas with varying degrees of lolAugments on them.

Actually, I'm working on getting my hands on some more Snapshot. The new ToM guns have some great damage possibilities, but they fire slowly. With Snapshot and later on Velocity Shot in our hands, we could up our damage potential way beyond meleeTP/Slug Shot could ever produce. When that day comes, I may just sell my M. Kris.
