Job Adjustments part 2..Follow

- It will now be possible to accumulate TP and increase marksmanship skill using the corsair ability "Quick Draw."

- The duration of the corsair ability "Double Up" upon a roll of 11 will be reduced to five minutes.
*To compensate for this, enhancements to "Lucky 11" rolls are being planned for future updates, so please stay tuned!

Especially if QD now feeds TP.

First thing I really noticed was the TP thing. Is SE really going to nerf Quickdraw now? Another swing-and-a-miss from SE.

Well I'm not sure what to think of losing 10-minute XIs. While I'm sure the overall benefits outweighed the nuisances involved, I kind of feel like my job just got a little easier. Still, I would have preferred to keep the +5 minutes, and been given more control when it came to overwriting buffs. I wonder what new enhancements we'll get as compensation.

TP + skillups from quick draw is total win if QD still doesn't feed TP. I'm especially happy that I can skill up in a normal party setting, since I never shoot for TP.

The instances where you get TP and the mob doesn't are far and few between. I will hold my breathe for now, but I am not optimistic.. I liked the 10 mins rolls. Sure you had to roll over them sometimes, but when you didn't it was really nice.

Edit: That also may mean that it is going to consume a bullet...

DRG jumps dont feed mob TP. I don't see Quick Draw going for the worse. Its not super overpowered to where SE would find a reason to toss shyt at it. I don't think its a good idea though to lower DU to 5 mins though. Its not like Cors are landing 11's so much it needs to be reduced. I don't even see anything besides a ~40% increase to chance of rolling 11's ability making up for the time reduction.

Its hard to know until the update, but the way SE wrote it as if this is a good thing makes me think this is actually a bad thing as quick draw is perfect as it is - giving us a minor benefit to an already great JA is bound to bring destructive but subtle penalties.

Also, If we getting Marks skill from it, has it been tweaked so either RACC or RATT from skill has an affect on it? otherwise I don't see the point.

Although, this could be put in place to stop /COR's using the ability properly - if QD's accuracy is affected ot modded from our skill now rather than AGL, it would essentially make /COR QD useless.

We won't realiese SE's true intention of doing this until Sept 8th but i'll bet my Black belt its either gonna have a negative affect on COR main QD, Cor sub QD, or both ><

Looks like I picked the right week to finish soloing up those keesha poppos pamamas before he started spamming 3k magic fruits due to the TP granted by QD :)

You guys are too paranoid.

The QD update is designed for /whms who never get to shoot or who only quick draw. Its as simple as that. SE has mentioned they want us to Dd more now this is one of the buffs. It will not consume a bullet or be based off marks skill.

While it is possible it may give the mob tp, i think this is just a straight up buff for COR DD for everyone.

Also im glad the 10 min buffs are gone. Im curious to see what they will do to improve it.

Wow...

We sure have some pessimistic pirates on these fourms, lighten up laddies.
I see no reason to jump to conlutions about the changes to quick draw, seems like they're just going to make it exactly like jump, as in it functions as usual but gives TP and possible skillups. Also let's not forget that the ability to gain TP with quick draw will make Leaden Salute much more viable on HNMs and such where you'd normally employ a quick draw build.

As for the loss of 10 min 11 rolls, it's a shame they be taking our special vintage rum, but perhaps they be aging it a bit longer to ring out a better taste.

My question is whether you'll gain TP on non-damaging QD as well like Light shot and Dark shot.
Personally I'd also rather have the QD accuracy formula tweaked to use marksmanship skill since I've merited marksmanship and keep that skill capped and it would encourage /Mage COR's to keep their skill up.

Hope the level 85 bullets aren't made out of orichalcum ingots and go for 900 k a stack.

And sad to lose the 10 min lucky 11's. Why they wouldn't fix that once they figured what to give as the bonus I'll never understand. Taking it away and then saying "something good is coming" is way too much of a *^#%}tease.

Fortunately I only solo on RDM so I'm fine with the COR QD giving TP (if it even does). It wouldn't be substantial for any other time since it's a 45-50 sec ability.

Even if QD ends up giving tp there will be very few solos this effects greatly.

Thf and Rng have been enjoying it for quite some time now with sleep bolts and arrows. Really nice for sleep-able mobs... pointless on a 45 second ability for solo. Nice, but still a bit pointless.

Lol. win x2. If theres another job adjustments sigment and theres like "Corsair's now getting...3rd charge at 85" I'm going to explode.... HARD!

I'm happy we got ride of the 10mins XI thing. Tho its quite useful. Not so much when its evokers roll. Mm ya thanks. I'd trade it in for better XI than longer XI.

Quickdraw with marksmenship skill is heaven. just heaven. Ugh. SE...ur scareing me.

LOL AF abyssea tricorne dispenses Oberon bullets unlimited once a day... Let sjust throw that out there see if their reading it. LOL.

Some people believe that because of the translation that XI will remain a 10 minute roll, but the ability "double up" will be extended to 5 minutes when you roll an 11 successfully...

Just as an FYI to anyone going through my hell right now convincing other cor's otherwise, here is a rough translation of the french note regarding XI.

Lasted of effect of a throw will be brought back to 5 minutes when the obtained total with the ability of the corsair "Higher Bid" is XI. (internet translation, I apologize to native speakers for error)

The only way you can reach XI is by using Double-Up. The French notes actually reinforce the English ones: the effect of a throw (roll) will be brought back to 5 minutes when "Higher Bid" (Double-Up) pushes the total to XI.

Can a DRG get skillups with Jump? I'm curious because that might give us a clue weather we'll be feeding TP with QD.

Yes, I'm asking even though we'll know the definitive answer in 3 days.
