So, being that I am both a dark knight and completely insane, I generally like to spend my time thinking up various insane things to try on dark knight. (Or at least think about trying.)
Anyways, my mind has been bouncing around quick draw of late, in particular the fact that dark knight has both marksmanship skill (and crossbows to go with it) and a plethora of hefty MAB gear options. So, naturally, before I work on getting the ~18 or so levels I'd need to try quick draw out, I figured I'd pose my burning questions to the experts.

First, how much MACC should I aim for, given the lower agility of drks (and, though I -think- it doesn't affect QD acc, uch lower marksmanship)

The build I'm currently considering would be about +40 MAB and something to the tune of +13 macc. Swapping one piece could trade 3 of that MAB for 7 MACC, worth it?

Also, to confirm, R. Acc and R. Att gear has no effect on QD, right?

With the crossbow and bolt combo I'm looking at, I should have in the neighborhood of 100 damage. How far behind a normal gun + bullet setup is that likely to put me?

That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now questionwise, but any feedback you can think to offer would be great. I look forward to hopefully some day trying to combine these two disparate jobs into one mean soloing machine.

I'm 90% sure you can only use quick draw with a gun, not a crossbow.

Nope. QD just needs a Marksmanship weapon to work.

My current setup has 119dmg (+AF hat = 124dmg) total. 22MAB + staves lets me hit near 350 dmg per shot without any weather/day bonus.

Marksmanship skill, ranged acc, ranged attack don't affect it.

Agility and Magic accuracy affect accuracy.

This will be quite an interesting test, I'd be curious to see how high you can get your damage.

Well, as I said I still need more cor levels, and I'll have to get my hand on a good deal of the MAB gear first as well. But now I'm thinking... Perhaps instead of using my elemental staves, I might make a magian trial scythe with either MACC or MAB +, whichever I end up thinking I need more of. I know the staves are great, but this would let me avoid switching and losing tp, so I could kite a mob along, QDing it, then sleep/bind->dread spikes->run in and guillotine. Or I could slug shot it, whichever end up being better. Hmmm...
