Hey all Corsairs,
Just returned to the game after a long hiatus and if you could, I would appreciate some help.
As a level 40 COR, should i be trying to find groups in the traditional locations? I noticed that Abyssea is where everyone is these days but I have no clue if I should be trying to go there at this level...
Can COR solo now that the exp gain seems to be quicker? I have tried COR/BST and have had some success but I'm quite lost. And also, is COR/RNG no longer subjob of choice? I noticed many COR/Mages.
Again I appreciate all the help I can get, I did research and just am overwhelmed by how much I don't know about the game all of a sudden.
Traditional EXP pt are mostly dead nowadays, especially lv 30+ ones. Most ppl just leech to 90 in Abyssea after lv 30, then go skill up later.
Lv 40 is ok to leech in Abyssea, but you'd have to know how it works if you want to make a pt. If you have a friend making an alliance you can ask him if you can leech.
Although I haven't try, I've heard that new GoV is very good to lv if you don't want to leech. You can get EXP fast and skill up. Sounds like a good choice if you want to solo/duo and not leeching.
The main reason to /RNG is because COR lacks racc at low lv. It's still probably a good SJ of choice at low lv. However, at higher lv racc is less an issue now. Not to mention new powerful magical WS(Wildfire) doesn't need racc, and regain roll+TP from QD also somehow eliminate the need for racc during TP phrase, that's why /RNG is less useful than it used to be. I'd say /RNG is still very good at your lv if you pt and want to DD though.
