Volunteers Needed for New RDM Mentoring ProgramFollow

After reading through and participating in the discussion on MargavineLiselle's
Airspirit's RDM 101 Revisited, I saw a response which interested me. Glean makes the statement that for certain aspects of the job, a newbie RDM could use a mentor of some sort. I propose using this thread to compile a list of people who are willing to help out new RDMs on their servers to increase the ratio of good RDMs on all servers.

I'm asking for anyone who would be willing to take on this task, to post your information on this thread so the prospective RDMs who are checking out this forum will be able to find a mentor for their server.

I will be the first to say that I will mentor any aspiring RDMs on the Diabolos server who need some guidance. My in-game name is also Aedrios.

Please help raise the level of Red Mages on the servers so we don't get the horrible rants and reputations on the servers. Thanks for helping and I'll get down from my soapbox now. (^^)

I'll keep track of volunteers by keeping an updated list up here after seeing Cestuous make the list further down (thanks for the idea Cest). I will not list levels, because they have a habit of changing for some reason =P.

Note: For necessary reasons, I am limiting the names that will be listed here to only those who are above level 41. Preferably level 45+ due to getting used to Refresh cycles. If you volunteered and did not see your name on the list, now you know the reason. Those who have volunteered at early levels but were not listed, please leave another reply once you have reached 45 so that you can be placed on the mentor list. Thank you.

Hyjynx, RDM 63, Valefor

Alot of SAMs have a Sensei/Mentor so why not RDMs. I don't mind helping RDMs level, do quests,or missions. I'll even offer what little advice I might have to offer. Just like to help out.

Yep, lots of negative rants on why rdms are/aren't this or that. For advice (mostly learned from this forum as well as my own experiences) for levels 1-50, I'd be glad to help.

I'm almost lvl 60 now. I'm always down to help anyone on bahamut. Just send me a /tell in game.

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered so far. I envision this as being a supplement to this board, not replacing it. I also would recommend people look at this board before going into parties, as I think it will help them understand the expectations parties will have from them in the future. I'm hoping that the new RDM 101 will come together quickly, as it already looks to be a very good guide. As a side not, I've added this thread in my sig for any random newbies who see my posts elsewhere in the board. If any of you have friends in-game who don't have IDs on this board but would like to help out, post their information as well. Remember, we're helping to stem the tide of "bad" RDMs.

A mentoring word of advice:

As you get older, your reputation means everything. As you progress there are fewer players and the word gets around about other players.

More than once I've seen a party kick someone out before it starts or refuse a replacement because of a bad reputation. So, if your goal is to be high level - regardless of your job - keep a clean reputation!
