Just wanted to add a quick thing if peeps are trying Fossorial Fleas in Aydeewa.
I found that at 60 they were tough solo but possible (I'm hume, prolly a lot easier if you have a HQ Fire staff.

Don't risk casting without Aquaveil. And, whilst hume rse feet have +3 INT, if you're going for these mobs, use your af feet for the spell interrupt.

I buff with Prot, Shell, Barfira, Stoneskin, Blink, Aqua.

61 they get a lot easier and they're great at 62. I wouldn't start here before 60.

ol I'm a mithra not a rock. I am casting on the right mobs and I double checked wiki for the elemental weakness and I got resisted every cast but 1 when I went there to solo last. Just to see if I wasn't crazy I casted a waterga spell and it did a mighty... 63 dmg. Most of my spells couldn't even break 100dmg. I've managed to get to 48 now (thank goodness for making your own parties or I wouldn't get anywhere) so I might go back and try again.

i'm surprised no one asked this yet... (at least from what i could see, i may have missed it)
Are your magic skills capped or severely underleveld like mine were when I tried the xp pt route? If not, start looking for skillup parties or have a friend take you out to cap your skills. That should floor your resist rates.
Just a thought.

I also found that until I recapped my ele skill when I dinged a level against the fleas I had a harder time killing them than I had minutes ago as a lower level. I appreciate the levels of the fleas vary and I checked the days but it really helped once I'd recapped my skills.

Yay for finally capping dark in Besieged - all skills done for now!

I went out ther w/ my Blu to lvl abit w/ my roommy's Blm. When we had arrived there was a Blm already there soloing and they offered to team up. As Blu(59 at the time) I was the "Bait" to bring the poor fleas back to 2 Blm (57,58). While we were out there I noticed several occurances where the fleas downright resisted EVERYTHING. The Blm that joined us had some nice gear including Shaman's Cloak, Moldy, and a few other choice pieces along w/ all AF up to lvl. My roommate's Elemental and Enfeebling skills were capped and the other Blm claimed that she had just capped all of her skills in a skillup pt beforehand. Even with the 3 of us at that camp it was great xp. In a couple hours we had all gained a lvl and quite a nice buffer. Once we got into the swing of things, we were killing faster than the fleas were popping >.<
Basic strat was for Blm to alternate Tier3 and AM on pulls to maximize MP. If it was still alive I'd finish it off w/ a Mandibular bite or they'd hit it w/ another tier3 real quick while I kept them alive w/ magic fruit.

btw, for that particular camp, either bring some sort of refresh or something to handle disease.... that causes quite a bit of downtime >.<

TL DR
There is another Goblin BST (F-10) Newton you can nuke down.
Theres 3 basket things lined up on the north part of the bridge.
Stay lined up with the left 2 for rest, run west for nuking.

Well first of all let me just say "GREAT GUIDE".

I've been following it since lvl 28 and have loved it.
I've only ever joined I think 3 exp parties because I find that soloing is much, much faster.

I am currently 63, and have been getting consistently 7k->9k an hour according to my parser. It is by far much more effective than the average exp party.

I would therefore like to thank you for this guide.

P.s I tried the Flees in Aydeewa Subterrane but found it to be much slower due to the fact that you get resisted more, and without the new signet it takes longer to rest for full MP.

Signet does not affect resting MP, only HP. However, if you get sanction and xp in the new areas you can choose a refresh bonus.

What a sweet guide. This guide is not just for Black Mage. My blm was already 75 by the time I found this guide but I wish I could have used it back when I was seeking for hours at a time. Anyway, I was able to level as 44NIN/22WAR all the way to 50NIN/25WAR off Goblin Raribs in Cape Terrigan. The fights were quick as long as I spammed Ninjitsu on them. I almost never dropped shadows. I was able to get chain 4 on average but had a few chain 5's in there. The exp was as good as an average party if not better. The only time I think I was able to get more was when I had an exceptionally good party. I'm going to try and duo some pets in Newton Movalpolos with a buddy of mine. I'll let you know how it goes.

That camp works, too, and in a sense is easier than the D-11 one because the goblin and bat move in a very restricted area and when you are close enough to target the bat you are well out of range of any other potential aggro.

BUT

I'm afraid the area marked as "safe" on Galatea's map isn't. The Goblin Foreman occasionally walks onto the eastward spur and can come down far enough to spot a visible PC resting as far east as the last board of the platform adjacent to the tunnel. On the other hand, the goblins in the tunnel can come far enough west to spot a PC resting just inside the tunnel. So there seems to be no totally safe spot. Best to keep an eye out and take suitable precautions (move and/or cast invisible) if a gob approaches.

I stuck to exclusively Qiqirns from 62-75. The exp is a little slower, Annaversary ring coming out was a great help but I found it much more reliable then gob pets, pretty much the only way you are going to die is if you fall asleep or don;t pay attention and pull a link.

Hence why, if you follow my link, I put 95% of the time it is safe. I was there over 10 hours and only got aggrod 3 times <.< He RARELY walks all the way down the platform. Maybe I just got lucky?

Also been working on a 60-65 spot that no one knows about yet, ill post it after if done with the zone :x

First off, I'd like to thank you for writing this guide. I never thought of touching BLM after I heard they get the shaft in ToAU parties. But after reading this, it made me pick the job up and I'm loving it.

Only problem is that I don't think I'm doing things right. My Elemental magic is near the cap at 58 and I've been trying the Burst -> Thunder method in Newton, but I either aggro the whole room and have to zone, or my Burst gets resisted too much that even a Thunder wouldn't kill it. I've gotten... 3k/hr this way. And I've tried the Flood+Water staff thing but I'd always have to finish it off with a lower tier nuke.

Everyone tells me that the exp in Bibiki bay is great, but at this rate, I won't be there as fast as others have gotten.

Thanks for the guide, I've been looking for something fun to do when I have a night free, and after soloing T and VT worms in Korolloka, solo BLM seems like a lot of fun.

Really appreciate the guide, hope it stays updated.

This guide is wonderful! I just recently got back into the game, so I haven't touched my 51 BLM for a year. This is a nice way to level my BLM while not having to worry about time management, as college and work doesn't allow me a lot of time to party.

Awesome guide! Thanks a lot.
As mainly leveling blu but also some other jobs to sub along the way I have kind of looked at this thread for a while (and similar) but haven't used it until recently. Whenever I got to a new level or 2 I have tried to find places close to a zone with suitable mobs to cap skills. I have often used my npc (and also to finish off quests and NMs thats been on the brink of what I could handle, that's why her level is quite high lol) and when I started to be able to kill the mobs I have used that zone to level her. Could usually get up about 240 exp that way myself.

Even if I heard of other blus following these guides I wasn't sure it would work for me but I always had in mind to try it out one day.
Doing G3 (and dying like 3 times) a friend with a lower level blu where talking how he got chain 3 and 4 on pet leeches I decided if I still had a call or 2 left on tactics pearl I would do it.

After reading up again I went to Newton Movapolis and pulled Goblin's Bats, I had a key for Oldton and wanted a map anyway. First mob I did without food and without using empress band and got 250 exp as BLU56/RDM28. From now on exping will never be the same; got several after for 346 and 375 each.

The only thing is there always seems to be ppl there. After 20 minutes I had competition with a rdm. Beeing gentlemen we worked it out and took turns, but him beeing 60 I was probably keeping him down lol. I had to log after an hour but later when I logged on again there was other mages there. Very good place though, close to zone, so I will check it up now and then whenever I feel like leveling skills or npc or get some Death to Delevel back again.

And will probably check this guide again more often in the future.
