Warrior's Lorica: O
I was really starting to think I'd never see the **** thing. Through our 21 Xarc runs in 2007, we had at least one (THF >_< & SAM) of every other job's relic drop in Xarc last year, and as many as 8 for some pieces (MNK, BLM, DRK, & RNG). But not a single Lorica all through 2007.
Then we had a fantastic Xarc run Sunday. 8 Relics dropped, including a Lorica finally. Only one other person had commented WAR, and he had already won a SAM helmet earlier so couldn't lot it. As a result, I won it uncontested. Good thing too, as my lots always suck. Think I put up a 79 for the Lorica. Still better than the 36 I had for a Shadow Mantle... Even better, since I knew no one could lot against me, I got it for 2 points instead of the usual 16. Points leftover for the Stone, Shadow items, and/or BLM relic once I get it to 75. ^^;
Also, finally killed the Evisceration bat. Went out and got and broke the Scythe of Trials. Haven't killed the NM yet. I've been trying to figure out if there's any reason I'd ever actually want to use Scythe on WAR. I noticed that Spiral **** actually has a significantly higher fTP at 300% than Steel Cyclone (20% higher), and comparable secondary mods (INT instead of VIT), along with the same skillchain placement. It loses ground though since we can build up VIT easier than INT, lose 20 Attack with Scythe, lose 6 DMG with Suzaku's vs. Byakko's, and have a slightly higher chance of missing the Warrior's Charge hit. 1 substantial advantage vs. several moderate drawbacks. Anyone ever tried it for those initial 300% SATA WSs?
Non-WAR, finally hit 50 on BLM. Freeze on gobbie pets is so much fun... XD
