I just raped two Arkangels and gave them a good killshot in my name.

Oh yeah, we're going to win this one. I'm not sure if we can turn around and fail this one since there's only EV and HM left.

The ACC bonus and fTP +0.1 effects the first hit of a WS only.

Cursed Gloves -1, waiting to get abj.

The acc bonus is always contested and never proven.

I use Soil Gorget on Rampage and I personally have found better results than using Chiv Chain.

My personal reasoning as to why War's with Rampage seem to have better results is that Rampage's first hit is Weak, so the fTP adjustment helps the overall damage more as long as you have the acc to land all the hits.

If your acc is good overall, you probably won't notice a slight hit to your accuracy.

There was a test on BG, it was good enough for me personally. iirc, it was something along the lines of a MNK soloing EM aura statues with no ACC on Asuran Fists other than PCC/gorget, he noted the TP return on every WS and found that PCC had overall better accuracy than gorget. +0.1 fTP on the first hit of a 6 hit WS (assuming DW) that has a 0.5fTP on the first hit (essentially the first hit of rampage is half the damage of regular hit, minus the WSC mods) isn't going to have a really significant increase in damage. You'll notice that more often than not, you can still get good damage when you miss the first hit.

I'll parse soil gorget vs pcc for you guys. But only when I uncurse my gloves -1 and get nhead at least (and nfeet+1 ideally though). As it stands, my ACC% is around 91-92% in DoT gear with madrigal, ACC+41, DEX76+26, 8sword and 6axe. For WS (atm at least), I use ACC+50, DEX76+23, STR72+43. For WS, judging that I have more ACC/DEX than dot (where it's 91-92% ACC), I'm pretty confident I'm at/over 95% for WS ACC.

After I get Nhands+1, Nfeet+1(next on my to craft for myself list) and Nhead, I should be at... STR72+52, DEX76+40, ACC+40. What I'm wondering is, should I trade in ACC+7 for DEX+5 (war belt vs warwolf) for crits on rampage, the overall high of DEX compensates for a lack of ACC I think.

EDIT: According to this, DEX118 is about the DEX cap on Colibri for capped crit.

Ive always WS in soil gorget and my average WS is 1000 on birds with no meat... I will take the CHANCE to do more dmg on WS than just having a PCC for acc on neck.. I dunno about you but merit pties are super boring unless you are just trying to outparse yourself or reach new Epeen numbers.

I have seen those tests. I would prefer a test on Rampage. Asuran Fists is completely different. I know the reason it is used is it's 8-hit consistency, but the multipliers are different, there is no crit mod, and I plain just don't trust Asuran tests over a completely different WS.

Regardless of the test outcome, with the randomness of Rampage I would much rather use something that DOES modify fTP over something that does not; given the fact that Soil Gorget is already pretty damned good.

I for one do not understand why people are **** bent on proving that for some reason Sea Gorgets suck. If the only thing that MIGHT be SLIGHTLY better is a PCC/PCA, I'd say that the Gorgets are pretty awesome and worth my time to use.

The WS gorgets don't suck, far from it.

They are the best neck pieces for single hit WS, just not very good for mulit-hit.

Depends on your setup, but I use Temperance Torque when Axe / Axe; unfortunately that's not too often anymore.

Two reasons I use Soil Gorget:
1) With Rampage, I don't see an accuracy difference between it and a PCA, and my eyes are generally glued to my TP meter.
2) It took longer to get.

First Kirin for my LS (Yes we zerged it from the start)
1m 55secs

8.45% on my Rune Chopper WAR/NIN (Was /NIN because I was popping and voking) and I was lagged out until he was already at 86%.

3 Rune DRKs (one lagged out and almost DC/ed), 1 MNK, 3WARs using regular GAs, 4 SAMs.

And I outparsed all but 2 of the Rune DRKs and the MNK, engaging at 86% no less, with my non-merited NQ WAR. Rune Chopper is so broken for stuff like this. ^^
