I have recently taken up the War/Nin job and was searching around for useful macros/macro sets and couldn't come up with much, so i figured what better way to get and give warrior macro set info than to start a thread.

So, any macro/macro set you find useful as a Warrior of any level, please feel free to post on this thread!

Look at redshift's spellcast script. Even if you don't use spellcast, it gives some great ideas as far as what gear should be swapped in for what situation and when.

Look also at lolgaxe's gear guide for good ideas as to when you should really start swapping stuff in for WS's.

at a core level War macro sets can ne extremely basic (voke, agg, zerk, /ta <bt>, ws, etc.) But we can do a lot of optimization with them to improve performance.

Also, most importantly, you want a good utsusemi macro. Mine reads

/recast "Utsusemi: Ichi" (or Utsusemi: Ni as the case may be)
/ma "Utsusemi: Ichi" <me>
then /equip any haste gear you have. Even if you tp in all haste gear, make sure to include it in your utsu macro, because if you arent using spellcast you could still be in ws gear by mistake.

Hope that helps!

you want to make sure all of your macro's have something in /say, so your party and the other parties around you all know what you are doing.

if you can work a a bad song quote into zerk or aggressor, go for it.

make sure you have a boost macro that lets everyone know you're using it, just in case

but seriously, if you aren't getting into fancy stuff the most basic stuff that works 90% of the time is:
- WS gear, WS, TP gear all next to each other so you can do it quickly
- provoke
- aggressor and berserk together unless you only merit berserk
- utsusemi ichi/ni macros and segain/third eye (you're leveling war, not war/nin)
- meditate, hasso, tomahawk
- and warcry because you'll probably have like 10 spots left anyway

Quite honestly my macros probably need some rework, but they do what I usually need them for.

Macro set 1
ALT+1 : TP macro
ALT+2 : King's Justice Macro
ALT+3 : Steel Cyclone Macro
ALT+4 : Raging Rush Macro
ALT+5 : Penta Thrust Macro
ALT+6 : Ground Strike Macro
ALT+0 : Walk macro (get out of dusk gear)
CTRL+0: TP report macro
CTRL+3: Provoke macro
CTRL+1: pull macro

Macro set 2
same setup, only for 1handed weapons and weaponskills

Macro set 3
tanking macros, they're roughly the same as my 2hander macros, except I only have gaxe skills, the other weaponskills are replaced with utsu, seigan/third eye macros and hate grabbing macros
