I returned the game a few months ago and all of a sudden saw a use for the WSNM mobs I hadn't done. Before my break I only had unlocked Sword, Great Axe, and Great Sword.
But once I got into Abyssea and saw what a proc and DD powerhouse WAR is, I decided to do as many WSNM as I could on WAR.
I found that Abyssea is the best and easiest place to unlock WSNM on WAR. I wanted to share with you guys what I did incase you want to give this a shot. I will assume that you want to do it solo, but this will also work if you are skill chaining with a friend.
Atma: Plaguebringer, Voracious Violet, Mounted Champion
This combination will give you 30 HP/tic regen, 2 HP/tic regain, and +20 Store TP as well as some added double attack.
Job: WAR/SAM
If you are using a 2 handed weapon, keep Hasso and Retaliation up at all times. For most mobs the 30 HP/tic regen will be enough to sustain you without having to Seigan/Third Eye.
If you are using a 1 handed weapon equip a shield off hand such as a Sentinel Shield or the like.
With this set up whatever you are fighting will give you TP to use a WS around every 8-15 seconds. I fight monk mobs for added Retaliation procs.
Look up level 2 skillchains you can do yourself with Sekkanoki. Can do this every 5 minutes.
Also you can try to meditate just before using a WS and then attempt to skillchain on the next WS.
With a 2 handed weapon you may get retaliation procs and a double attack to bring you to near 100% almost instantly and can get some odd skillchains there too.
Using this method I unlocked Axe, Staff, Club, and Dagger in about 1 1/2 hours total for each weapon. I did something like this modified for my BLM (using Seigan/Third eye more often though lol) to unlock Vidohunir.
At the time I did this I didn't have Apocalypse Atma yet, but I wonder if subbing that in for Voracious Violet would be more productive, but I am not sure on that.
Anyway, hope this helps some of you fellow Warriors. I will also do this for Polearm and Scythe whenever I get their skills above the WSNM mark.
