- You've ever told your puller "Pull whatever you want, I'll tank it."

lol I did that one last night in Yhoater Jungle at level all 27 we were killing mandies getting 200xp a pop but puller was complaining about Goblin Smithy. I was getting kind of bored by that I mean hp hit yellow once so I was bored. I pointed at the goblin told him to pull and I will handle him. So he pulled it the two black mages panic and manafront and get nuke happy I was so proud of myself I didnt lose hate after all the mages could toss out. Fight took a few mins but finally droped him I had 24 hp left and no mp. the smn had enough to cast cure on me one time after fight was over. I know it was a waste of xp time but it sure was fun :)

I know I'm only 29 but can be held guilty of 98% of the posts

When in a party and you hear your voke ready sound <call7> go off and instinctively reach for your Provoke macro only to realize:

A) Some one else is using that call to let people know when they have tp

and

B) you are leveling brd...

Haha. I recently saw Chronicles of Narnia and couldn't help but think "Hmm. He's wearing Royal Squires Chainmail, it looks like." when the boy got armor and "Shield Bash her!" when the boy was fighting the witch...

Maybe those are just signs that I've played FFXI too much....

You watch the hume PLD in the intro movie charge right into the leading line of orcs (and summarily get tossed aside) with a huge surge of pride.

Oh, and you remark with wonder that the Elvaan RNG in the intro movie actually hit something :-P

Omg, just reading back through some of this thread from where I last posted and saw this quote, "We stare at death in the face, and dare it to charge at us... and raise our swords in triumph when it fails to take our lives and that of our PT members..." Beautiful...I love it about as much as my sig.

Good to see somebody else agreed with my post there, starting to think I was only one,... then again I havent read ALL of these. But **** boys and girls Ive been away for a while and I knew this thread would light my heroic fire back underneath me! Its about time for Beliel to strap on his full battle rattle again and ride into combat. Heh, sig speaks it all!

I think this is one of the best threads ive ever read...you made my night. Ive got a few to add
You know youve been a pld too long when...
-you give nin's dirty looks
-you feel completly comfartable lieing face down in the dirt
-if a pty member dies from an AoE attack you feel like giving them gil to compensate
-you feel guilty lvl nin for ballista and begin to wonder if ballista is worth having to touch the nin job

Interesting sig - we had another quote, very similar:

"Ready to fight, ready to kill, ready to die, but never will..."

I'll also have to say I'm guilty of alot of these. And heres some more...

- When you go /anon in the Dunes wearing nothing but a Bastok Aketon and a dark staff and raise people just for the heck of it.

- When you're in a skill up party with people 10 levels higher than you and you still find ways to keep hate.

- When buying new gear for another job and you just dont get why someone would buy something with -agi.

- When you go to The Eldieme Necropolis and actually enjoy killing undead.

- When you go to Davoi and kill massive amounts of Orcs for trying to kill you when you did PLD flag quest.

- You do a double take when you do over 500 dmg with Vorpal Blade in exp parties. (And then you say to your LS, "See PLD's can do damage too! :D" )

Kite Shield : O
So many of these are so true lol
Here are some, probably have already been added

-When you want to solo tank something, even if its meant to be duo tanked, just to prove you can
-You feel wrong fighting without sword/shield or staff
-You "forget" to put up Utsusemi/Stoneskin while subbing NIN or RDM, just to see some damage done to you
-You know that you have no wheres near as much money as you need to buy some awesome equipment, but still check the AH every day to drool over it
-It feels wrong not ending a conversation with a /salute
-You want to level another job, but if you ever get merits on it, it will go towards your PLD first =p

Possible.

When your shield skill still isn't capped but your parry is,because you dinged 75 before the shield update.

They have it...I was getting ****** when I was trying to update my armor but if you search for the item and it says "No Item" just click the down arrow and it should be there...figured this out all by myself XD
