Who else thinks this will completly make Valor surcoat obsolete.Its pretty much Macro only now already. Best Guess at stats.
Def 50 Hp+30 Mdb+5 Enmity+6 set increases all ele resist... this would make me one happy camper.

Seeing as all the other pieces dont have all that much Defense on it, i very much doubt the defense on this piece is going to be higher than our AF or even Adaman. (54, come on...)

That, and i have the strangest feeling there's going to be Regen or Refresh on it. It wouldnt make sense to postpone it so far beyond ACP otherwise simply because of it's enmity.

While I realize that things could be a little different since they, for some reason, held on to the release of these bodies for so long, there's no reason to assume anything amazing here. In all of the level 45 sets, the body was no more special than the other pieces...similar in stats to the head or legs. Because of this, I would assume something more like:

Valor Surcoat is already obsolete except for its MP conversion capability, which this isn't going to duplicate. I doubt they'll ever add another body armor that does that, which is why the surcoat will always have at least some usefulness.

Dont really care about def, just want the piece to be in line with the rest of the IR set and it will be one of the best enmity and the best mdb body piece for PLD.
Knowing SE i wouldnt be surprise if it is a disappointment though.

They are close and to assume the body wouldnt be close atleast 47+ id be very surprised. Only one that isnt close is the hose...why they chose hose for a scale set idk.

BTW does this set seem to pull from differnt set types? Sallet are plate, Graves are scale and hose well are hose. Doesnt seem top follow a specific pattern of armor sets.

personally I'm hoping for something that can compete or best the nuevo. I got the pld nuevo body because it'd beat any other option I'd have but...if IR trounces or at least ties it I'd be more than willing to turn nuevo into a drg hauby

The thing that makes Nuevo so unique/good is the fast cast + enmity combo. Same reason Askar and Homam hands are so nice, enmity and haste on the same piece with additional complementary stats. I seriously doubt IR will have that so it really couldn't replace Nuevo for Utsusemi, Flash, Dispel, Sleep etc. It'll likely be an MDB only piece if you have Nuevo, or it might have enough + enmity to macro in for JAs too.

People don't accept the truth if it's typed in a tone unsympathetic to them. It doesn't make something any less true if someone you don't like is the one to enlighten you.
That would be awesome and would let me turn Nuevo into a DRG piece. It would be out of character for the set though and I really doubt it will include fastcast.
