Hey. I was on the test server playing around on pld for a bit. Tested Palisade, 5 minute recast, lasts for 1 minute. I was fighting the mandy mobs in aby Altepa.

I blocked every single time I was hit, can't say anything about the emnity because I was solo. The game description says it reduces enmity loss, but on the update notes, it says eliminates enmity loss, hopefully a typo in the game description.

Sounds like a nice tool to put into the rotation between Reprisal and Sentinel. Not that this will give PLD any more desirability, but I always like new stuff.

I'd put more faith into the in-game description since update announcements tend to change before the actual update.

Palisade sounds good but, as usual, is too short due to S-E's selective overcautiousness with certain jobs (i.e. game balance goes out the window for Warrior and other melee jobs, but Paladins absolutely MUST be shackled by it lest they become overpowered).

Between Sentinel, Shield Bash, Rampart, and now this Paladins should, in theory, be able to maintain enmity seamlessly; however, the timers just don't allow this and S-E's resistance to making Paladins more powerful offensively makes things really difficult when it comes to keeping monsters' attention.

They should up the overall amount of holy style damage PLD does. Maybe some holy aoe dot aura? (inb4 wow did it)

a DoT aura is a really bad idea.

If its high enough to add anything against a 80k hp NM, paladins will be able to kill any standard mob in 5 secs by standing around it.

If it isnt good enough against a 80k hp NM, it doesnt add enough to be useful where paladin is lacking the most.

I doubt putting cover on a 10 second recast, 30 second duration would help Paladin. The only thing that'd help Paladin would be fixing the damage formula. As long as DD can survive pulling hate there is no need for a tank.
