Does anyone else find it tedious hitting a macro every time to shoot an enemy?
When I don't feel like turning on Winamp or listening to my ipod while I play, I usually like to listen to the battle music while fighting. Right now, the only way to do this as a Ranger is to auto-attack and then back up to shoot.
It gets increasingly annoying everytime I see that message saying I have to get closer to attack, when all I'm doing is shooting arrows at the enemy. I know this is kind of WoW like (and I hate to admit it) but the way the hunters are able to use ranged attacks without hitting the button more than once is much more convenient than FFXI's approach to the topic.
So, I propose that if you are a RNG or, subbing RNG or something that when you auto attack and move out of melee range, you would automatically start attacking with your ranged weapon. I know this would be frustrating for any RNG or /RNG who happens to have, say, a Happy Egg in their ranged slot though, so maybe only if you're using a bow/xbow/re-usable ranged attack (ex. Boomerang) this would take effect.
As a follow-up question, I'm curious as to whether or not switching ammo makes you lose TP. I know it's somewhat of a nub question, but my account is still unactive so I can't do the research myself.
Thanks for your responses.
