RNG Subjobs 80-99Follow

Hi everyone,

I am a beginner Ranger (60 right now) but i am wondering
about what subjobs might become viable when we reach the
new caps.

Do you think NIN, WAR and SAM will still be most useful
subjobs, or do you think other jobs might take their spot
to shine?

Tell everyone here what you think!

I can see /WAR loosing a lot of adepts to /SAM. /NIN will still be used only for safer protection, seeing as Innin is not being carried for SJ(?)

If Holy Bolts stay viable or if a similar replacement is being added, I can even see /RDM being used XD

Also, people had discussed /COR, but I didn't follow that thread and didn't see where it went.

Right now, I think the only great sub is /SAM, with its mild defense and outrageous offensive boost.
Also Hasso will give 2 more STR XD

I think SAM becomes larger with sekkanoki. NIN still has utsu but nothing else. Unfortunately utsu is still so broken that it means NIN remains a viable sub forever seemingly. WAR doesn't add much more either and I've never been a fan of berserk as more often than not it's caused a big dirt nap for my RNG.

COR might have utility if QD damage and mini buffs are taken into account. Still offers no defense however.
DNC would be a reasonable soloing sub.
Don't think anything else would be great honestly.

/sam is the way to go here.
/cor isnt all that hot, i've been trying it. QD dmg is about the same as what my 71 cor gets. and given no tp gain, no real JA boosts, its just not as viable as one might think.

Nice!

So SAM and NIN huh ...

At what level does SAM really become useful as a subjob for RNG?

Is this at 80?

60, Meditate can help alot with your parsing, you also get store TP II (the highest tier we get)
70 see seigan come into play giving you a bit more defensive capablity.

Honestly i dont advise anyone to use /sam until 60.

60+ as Ary said.

Mind you tho, /NIN is just for higher protection. /SAM gives some level of protection already tho, so for a watchful RNG /NIN is also unnecessary. It's more useful for cheap "Invisible" and "Sneak" then for the protection itself.

Don't spout your BS off without taking other situations into consideration.

You could even have spotted that quote up there.

Otherwise K.Club RNGs would sub DRG for Wyvern Earring and enmity dump instead.

TBH with sekkanoki at 80, wouldnt it be more viable to sub sam and get store tp + sekka? or does the savings on tp get negated by the 1 attack round you miss activating it?

And dont be so goddamn arrogant, 99% of Rng's in game arent KClub rangers.

@77, can't comment on 80.

/Sam offers ZERO defence to a kclub rng though.

All I saw through the thread was /sam /sam /sam so I had to input my 2 cents. ^.~

Someone's butthurt, no sorry you weren't so special that I was directing that comment only at you.

Between High Jump & Super Jump, it will not allow a kclub rng to dump enough hate. Spike WS dmg every ~10 seconds, and the timers are much higher than that.

I also use Wyvern Shield lvl 30 jse for 6% haste while /drg, it is nice but no one take or keep hate off of you.

Edit ~ 4k =)

Anyone with premium want to do me a favor? Show me the breakdown of where the majority of my posts are at?

Your 2 cents were more then welcome, even because although we did mentioned /NIN's protection, which benefits K.Club RNG, personally I had forgotten about them indeed. What wasn't welcome was your rudeness - I'm talking strictly about your "Don't spout your BS off without taking other situations into consideration." comment

Anyway... Does aggressor even affects R.Attack at all?

Anxiously waiting September(?) to find out! =)

I've never seen any tests by WAR's on RACC though. Still awaiting a WAR to actually carry Acid Bolts in all my years. lmao

yeah hands down, if you have the chance to meditate more than once before a zerg, /sam beats the dogsh*t out of /war.

disappointed =(

Aggressor will still have it's place though, it will hopefully allow meat in more situations.

I believe Aggressor used to affect RACC, but SE stripped it away so they could later add it as a merit.

It is also entirely possible that Fencer (1h 45WAR trait) will affect ranged attacks/WS when you are wielding 1 axe.

Yes. Vulcan's Staff + Axe Grip is too much STR and RATK to waist on RACC. Maybe it's okay, if the mob has retardedly high evasion. Just did Yilbegan last week, and got 90% RACC with only 1 RACC specific item (behemoth+1 ring). The rest was -EMN and STR gear.
