Percept Bow vs. Vision BowFollow

So I've been searching the net looking for a discussion on this and have come up empty handed. I currently have a Vision bow and have been wondering whether Percept bow would be worth plunking down the gil on. Does anybody have both of these and how do they compare with each other? I'm a big fan of r. att over str, but am wondering how +14 r. att +5% crit damge chance compares against against an extra 4 base dmg on bow and +5 str.

I should mention that I'm Elvaan with 8/8 str merits and usually end up subbing ninja. Like I mentioned I prefer r. att over str and have been using Kriegsbeil/Fransisca until recently switched to Kriegsbeil/Carabineer's dagger rather than using my Vulcan/Axe grip with /sam or /war. I know mithra RNG's love stacking str, but as Elvaan I'm always looking for r. att and have been pretty satisfied with my dmg output. So I guess my main concern is how badly -4 base dmg -5 str and -15 r. acc will really affect me vs. +14 r. att and +7 agi.

They do about the same damage, Vision bow is better when you really need racc that much.

Vision bow will win for STR/RAtt/Regain sets that shoot Sidewinders because it boosts your STR when your RAtt is already high, as well as a better DMG with lower Delay. The Percept Bow's Crit DMG+ is a major addition to a Crit Rate/Crit DMG/Arching Arrow plan, easily beating Vision Bow if you have the crit set built. I honestly couldn't tell you if one can just wake up one morning and put on some crit atmas, a Percept Bow and Arching Arrow and beat the pants off their Sidewinder strategy or if it takes more gear and planning than that.

One could make an argument for RAtt over STR against high DEF mobs, but I doubt the difference between Vision's STR and Percept's RAtt would overturn the favorable DMG and Delay on Vision. Plus, RNG gets crazy RAcc traits so you're likely eating meat and not hurting for RAtt so badly you'd sacrifice base damage and delay to get it.

There are two kinds of people in FFXI, those doing the laughing and those who don't know what's funny.

I'm trying to figure out where exactly I'd put Aife's Bow (DMG:106 Delay:540 "Subtle Blow"+8 Enmity-6) in this mix. Part of me wants to pretend that enmity matters for more than about the first three shots. Or that I'd ever get to come RNG and care how much TP I'm feeding the mob.

I'm not going to pretend that I can actually time my shots well enough to notice the difference in delay. So beyond that, it's just more base damage. Which reminds me that I need to go synth some gargouille arrows, even though I still have a stack of ruszor quivers I never used. Brb, sidetrack!

Umm ... It's the best AH bow available, I guess?

Enmity matters when:
- You're in Abyssea where you can't kill stuff fast enough, but that would be a special privilege coming to Abyssea as RNG.
- You have Gnostic's drink temp item in VW. I have been in many situations spamming Jishnu's back to back within 10 secs as /WAR (3~5 times) without getting hate thanks to Gnostic's drink.

Other than these 2 events, -enmity and +subtle blow probably have place, but they are even older contents than Abyssea/VWNM.
The upcoming new nyzul will probably not in favor of putting RNG in team either. So I can't say -enmity and subtle blow+ are practically beneficial in the mean time.

I think the dev promised us something to make innate subtle blow to us on vision for each job.
