Notice: As of June 27, 2006, The BST Anthologies of Allakhazam are closed. However, the title page is being kept for the purpose of records and nostalgia.

Please visit The Beastmaster Anthologies of FFXIOnline for the new Anthologies.

Also, I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed that noone has posted in this thread since it has been unstickied. A bit of commenting/concern would be nice; perhaps everyone was taking the Anthologies for granted by this point.

In addition, please visit The Revival of The BST Anthologies Threads if you want to help satisfy my curiosity and perhaps bring back the archives.

Finally, RunningDemon is taking over official ownership of the project, if there exists such a thing. I'm glad to have been able to contribute to the BST community in such a profound manner, and though I will still be around, it will be very infrequently. And remember, Opo-opos are your friends; don't kick Tarus; Bombs blow up. Cheers!

-1.0) Introduction

Alright, first thing's first, you may be wondering what this is. The BST Anthologies consists of a large collection of threads, each dedicated to a single area, although some areas are split up into multiple threads due to their wide level ranges. These threads house specific information on the area they are dedicated to, providing helpful, acute information on leveling in the corresponding area. And so, in this thread, we have the missing link... or links ~_^ You see, every individual thread that has a single area specified to it has a link here, so that you can gain access to any of the 'area-specific information' without any hassle. That's it, pretty much, let's move on ^^

10.0) Miscellaneous Areas

Mm, as of now there's nothing to put here. So... here's a cookie and whatnot~

~~~~~~~
11.0) So, You'd Like to Contribute, Eh?
Well, that's perfectly fine ^^ Contributions are greatly needed for certain areas, and, in fact, the more contributions the better. You don?t have to E-mail or PM me or anything, just make a post in the correct thread. However, there are certain guidelines you?ll need to follow:
1. Be acute in what you say, use correct grammar and use full sentences.
2. Do *not* make contributions anonymously.
Yeah, that's about it ~_^ You're not going to be pestered for a few misspellings or the occasional missing comma, apostrophe, period, etc., but an overall messy job will earn your post deletion from the thread either by the Journal owner or by rate-downs. It's nothing personal, but I'd like for this project to remain extremely neat and accurate.
~~~~~~~

12.0) Credits

Yay! This couldn't have happened without certain people, here we go: ^^

Special thanks to RunningDemon, who has given me his journal space in order to carry out my project. Kudos to ya, thanks!

Secondly, three cheers for Dassureth, who came up with the idea for linking other helpful and informative threads in the "Related Links" section of this thread, which, well, wouldn't exist without him.

Gracias, Sudojoe, for making the suggestion of splitting the endgame area up further ^^

Finally, kudos to Friar Jerji, (whom I prefer calling Suji ~_^) who, in addition to his stellar contributions to the Anthologies themselves, contacted the administrators and got this lil' guy stickied ^^ *glomp*

And, of course, thanks to the initial contributors who worked behind the scenes to give us some information for many of the areas before this even got out into the 'public'. These people are, by their Allakhazam user names:

I can see this as being an incredibly useful guide. Once all those threads get good info, this may take the place of the hunting guide sticky. Goodjob!

I agree that it should be stickied, and not just because I wrote a lot in them. ;) I don't think people would benefit as much if it were burried inside of a 101 thread. So many conversions come up about what it's like to level in these zones that having this resource easily accessible to all players would be incredibly useful.

Make sure you guys keep bumping this if it gets down to far into the list of posts. If it makes it out of sight, then eventually it will be out of mind and 2 months from now we'll be asking ourselves, "Where the heck did the BST Anthologies post go?" So be sure to bump it when you get a chance please because this will be very helpful and it will continue to grow.

Good posts by all on this topic.

I would like to see the origional posts changed a bit though. The lv gaps are a bit too wide and lead to a lot of back and forth of what people are actually recommending for a specific few lv ranges.

61-75 is much too big a gap to all get lumped together.

61-63 is great solo in boyhada or duo. but a lv 72-5 will have a different perspective on things in the tree.

I recommend breaking it up more.

60-63, then 63-66, then 66-69, then 69-72, then 72-5.

As we're all spending 60-100k+ exp in some of these places, it's more useful for these lv ranges to get more of a seperate distinction.

Dying when trying out some of these areas are not fun >.< espically when you get the occassional hump lv where you're only getting 2-3k/hr and dying = 4000 exp go bye bye and some replies don't specifically mention what lv's work well there.

(we need to add a link for the Upper Delkfuts in the level 60+ area)

That is all, carry on. Now that I have internet again, I plan on getting to making some more additions here, either that or leveling and being lazy, I can never decide.

Alright, made an update, split both Uleguerand Range and Boyahda Tree into 3 threads, split Ifrit's Cauldron into 2 threads, divided the 61-75 gap into 61-65, 66-70, and 71-75, not quite what Sudojoe suggested, but props to him for the idea. I will split threads as it's needed, those who post in those threads that cease to be used... your posts will be cut and paste, the entire thing, so you will still get full credit and retain 'ownership' of your contribution. Also updated the Table of Contents and the Credits, the edits are building up ~_^

Also; the Glomps'n'Cookies section has been added, please take note of it.

Evanesce--

Fantastic job, this anthology is awesome, and I have recommended it to all my friends. Quick question for you though. Can we post questions about things in areas, or would you like to keep it less forum like, and just a database for areas? Either or, I think this will be a great tool for bsts that are up and coming. Rate up!

Fantastic job, this anthology is awesome, and I have recommended it to all my friends. Quick question for you though. Can we post questions about things in areas, or would you like to keep it less forum like, and just a database for areas? Either or, I think this will be a great tool for bsts that are up and coming. Rate up!

i would also add Yhoator Jungle to the 35-38 range (thats where i've been a few times lately). theres a few spots not to far in, but, away from pt you can camp. i've been using lizards, mandy (rarly), and bees (real rare) as pets. then take on lizards, bees (tough fighting), and gobs. its a must that you keep good jugs though. a bunny will not cut it, unless your stalling to get to you replacement pet (they tend to wonder to far sometimes).

Ooh, I need to add that no questions may be posted in the threads, thank you. I do want to keep it as a database, not a thread, so definitely no questions. Also, thanks for the compliment ^^

Thank you for noticing that, occasionally you get a <br> in the middle of the link when creating them, it's sorta weird, I fixed 3 already but I guess I missed that one, thanks ^^

Alright, I'll add a link in the 31-40 range then, thank you.

I added posts for levels 17-19 for Maze of Shakrami, Pashhow Marshlands, Ordelle's Cave, and Buburimu Peninsula. I ended up using Ordelle's Cave for levels 17 and 18 and Passhow Marshlands for level 19.

I'm following the suggestion further up this thread to post updates here as a continual source of bumpage and to help people find new information as it is added.

Well Evan I am finally back

I lost access to the forums for a bit as my non FFXI computer took a dive.

I'll add to the threads as we alked before, and I am amazed at the progres you have made with it ^^

I updated the Sea Serpents Grotto information since that's where I have been most recently.

I'll tru to add to any other locations I go.

Bump, I think we need to consider replacing the Leveling Grounds Sticky with this, since leveling grounds has not been updated since mid-november.

Rate Up! Although this is a great post, it still doesn't compare to the Leveling guide. The leveling guide can be printed out as is; Tips, Camps, Mobs, and etc. I have a copy of it sitting next to my desk as a guide when I need quick info. The only problem with the leveling guide is the fact it hasn't been updated in awhile. Oh well, keep up the good work ;)

Updated the Credits section. It's been a while since I've checked on it, it's really starting to gain some bulk in the information, I really appreciate you all taking this seriously and making great contributions, keep it up! ^^
