I killed 60+ fomors last night in Phomunia Aqueducts and didnt see a single subligar drop. Do they still drop from this place? I remember several years ago when it was capped at 40, my brother and I went in and duo'd as nin/war and brd/whm and got one each of almost all the subligars in a single night. /fume

I cant see why they wouldnt still drop. Maybe your just unlucky, I know I helped a number of friends in the past and it has taken forever to drop.
Have you not tried Sacarium? I recently spent some time in there killing Fomor for hate, so I could get a new Swiftbelt. I ended up leaving with an inventory full of Subligar, including BST. Now that the lv.cap has been lifted, I think I'd prefer doing any Subligar farming there.

Yeah drop rates can suck on the subligars, and then you'll get 5 in a row or something stupd like that, not much you can do but keep plugging away at it.
I don't know what's it's like after the cap has been lifted, but Subligar drop rates in the Sacrarium always seemed a lot worse than in the Aquaducts.

Well, I sold my original account several years ago when RMT were rampant. Sadly, I have just come back after the debacle that was/is FFXIV. My highest job is 54 BST so it is very easy for me to solo in Phomunia Aqueducts. I was just curious on the drop rates because I cleared the first room with BST, DRG, NIN, RNG/THF around fifteen times and never saw a single subligar drop. Just weird that I remember them dropping like 25% of the time several years ago and that was without Treasure Hunter.
If I have to go to Sac to get the subligar, then so be it. I just can't understand going 0/60. And they wonder why people leave for WoW.

Bad luck is bad luck. Check my sig for how long it took me to HQ something that I was supposed to be able to HQ 1% to 2% of the time.

Just chiming in. My BST friend and I spent what seemed like weeks down there farming back in the day. The drop rate, from what I remember, has always been awful. Sure, some people get lucky. But for the most part, lousy drop rate is lousy. Sorry you haven't been able to get one, but your experience sounds pretty similar to what we went through back then.

I've no idea about that, I had always farmed as BST in the Aqueducts in the past, my Sacarium Fomor experiences were limited. However with Yuly, drop rates seemed pretty nice in Sacarium? Its just a shame Codex farming still took forever XD
