Matsui here.

We’ve been receiving a bunch of questions in regards to the post the other day, and I’ve asked the lead about each one.

What’s up with the level caps of familiars? There is no way to check the caps for each pet.
The level caps for pets implemented post-Adoulin are as indicated below:

Item Name Pet Name Level Cap Level Cap with Beast Affinity 5 & Monster Gloves +2
Swirling Broth Droopy Dortwin 103 118
Shimmering Broth Sunburst Malifik 104 119
Spicy Broth Scissorleg Xerin 105 120
Translucent Broth Herald Henry 113 128

We’d like to make it possible to check the level cap of the pets you call with Call Beast, and we are currently looking to write the level cap in the jug item help text.

Will you be adjusting all pets, such as the ones used before Adoulin? I don’t see there being new pets added in the fall.
In regards to the pet level cap, we will not be making adjustments to the level caps of pets implemented before Adoulin, and we plan on adding higher level pets moving forward as the content levels increase.

The current prices for jugs are very expensive. It’s annoying to make them myself and for solo players it’s really hard to get 2000 menace plasm for the delve jug.
The development team is aware that the amount of “Swirling Broth,” “Shimmering Broth,” and “Spicy Broth,” in circulation is rather low, and we are planning to make adjustments somehow.

It’s easy to steal hate off pets. When I’m fighting with Falcorr, I swing three times and the enemy is back to targeting me. How exactly will our pets get stronger? How much will they be enhanced by an increase of their stats?
As we plan on enhancing both the attack and defense of pets, it will be easier for them to generate hate through damage dealing and with reduced damage their hate will not be lost as fast. With that said, after this adjustment it will be much easier to keep your target on your pet.

However, for pets such as Falcorr and others that were introduced before Adoulin, you will only be able to increase their levels to a maximum of level 114 with Beast Affinity 5 and Monster Gloves +2.

With that said, when players equip Hunapu, which has a higher item level than the pet’s level cap, your stats will be higher than your pet’s stats, and considering the amount of hate generated through damage it will most likely be difficult to make these pets hold your target after this adjustment takes place.

In the event you are feeling that your pet’s ability is lacking, please try using a pet that has a higher level cap.

Writing the level cap in the help text is a good start... It's certainly nice to see this info directly from the developers (even though we already know how to test it, this would save time and also indicate to players who don't read the community sites/wiki what the level caps are).

If they follow up the pet stat boosts with some biodiversity in the upper iLvls (adding a slew of new jug pets that have high natural caps), then we'll be in business. :)

December 10th, 2013 Version Update

BST got 4 new jug pets:
Saline Broth - Sharpwit Hermes (black Mandragora)
Salubrious Broth - Attentive Ibuki (Marjami Ravine Tulfaire bird)
Wispy Broth - Brave Hero Glenn (red frog)
Fizzy Broth - Caring Kiyomaro (Kamihr Drifts boar)

Also, 2 new changes from the update notes:
Quote:
- The item level of the equipped main-hand weapon is now taken into account when using the ability "Charm".
- The following attributes of pets summoned using the "Call Beast" command will now increase further based on the item level of the equipped main-hand weapon:
STR / DEX / VIT / AGI / INT / MND / CHR / Accuracy / Attack / Ranged Attack / Defense

Some testing is in order. :) Summoners will probably have an easier time working out the STAT+ bonus effect post-update compared to BSTs (who will probably need to use the PvP VIT testing method).

I couldn't get a hold of the Saline/Salubrious broths, but I was able to Synthesize the frog and boar pets for testing purposes. One thing that stuck out right away is that they naturally cap quite high and also they have an HP+ bonus at level 100 (unlike the other pets). I retested FaithfulFalcorr and DroopyDortwin and there was no change to their MaxHP amounts, so I think this will only apply to new pets.

Brave Hero Glenn:
lvl 99 weapon = 1970 HP restored = 3940 MaxHP
Lvl 100 weapon = 1995 HP restored = 3990 MaxHP
lvl 101 weapon = 1998 HP restored = 3996 MaxHP
lvl 106 weapon = 2012 HP restored = 4024 MaxHP
lvl 113 weapon = 2031 HP restored = 4062 MaxHP
lvl 115 weapon = 2036 HP restored = 4072 MaxHP

Gains about 2.5ish HP/level. Deals slashing damage and has no TP moves, just like SlipperySilas.

Caring Kiyomaro:
lvl 99 weapon = 3021 HP restored = 6042 MaxHP
lvl 100 weapon = 3097 HP restored = 6194 MaxHP
lvl 101 weapon = 3101 HP restored = 6202 MaxHP
lvl 106 weapon = 3121 HP restored = 6242 MaxHP
lvl 113 weapon = 3149 HP restored = 6298 MaxHP
lvl 115 weapon = 3157 HP restored = 6314 MaxHP

Appears to gain 4 HP/level. Has a very nice HP mod and his TP moves are pretty amazing - their effects have been reported here. Sweeping Gouge is 1 charge and Zealous Snort is 3 charges.

Edit: SE hasn't added the Jug Pet additional help text yet, so it's still unknown what level these jugs cap at (and I lack an iLvl 117/119 weapon for further investigation...).

On the other hand, the tulfaire jug seems to be 100k EACH and climbing. And for legitimate reason. Akaso as an ingredient? Really? Unless that ends up being a trash drop from our groves after another upgrade, we'll just never see her.

Also, Philosopher's stones are up to 400k a stack. Looks like anyone wanting to use the mandy will need to take up chocobo digging. It's like SE said, "Okay we've effectively made all bullets and arrows free, guess we should load RNG and COR's costs onto BST."

On the other hand, everyone has a 117 axe now, since it seems like the Eminent Axe is Maneater 2.0, giving it's latent effect under 100 TP and on WS's. I have 10 more att under 100 tp than over 100 TP with it equipped.

EDIT: Works offhand too, but you'd be main-handing it unless you have kerekahtl/guttler anyway.

Ummmm... guys..., don't bother with the buried vestiges froma rch angels.

Sharpwit hermes averages 50 damage a swing and crits for 80. I have no idea why, it doesn't seem like he's capped real low, or had his stats and flowerpot bill's switched like they did with the fungaurs, since he has level appropriate accuracy. No new Ws's either.

EDIT: Pulled out a Flowerpot Merle. She and HErmes have exactly the same stats and hit for exactly the same amount, except for Hermes's higher max hp.

That's insane. What the heck is with SE? I mean seriously. Bad enough to give us a disposable pet made from materials from max level content but then to mess it up like that??!?

Hey all, Nice to come see an update on how things have changed and that new fun and pet testing continues :D.

might be old, but if they made the mistake w/ the mandy stats, it should be reported to SE. They made a mistake like that w/ louise. then again it probably already has since it was 6 weeks ago that it was complained about :P.

Miss you Xilk.

I am sure they made a mistake with the mandy. Not sure it has been reported.

Hey thanx Olor!

I was just looking over forums and trying to see what I missed. New pets, and I'm really glad to see SE followed a suggestion for the /checkparam which lets players see so many awesome stats!

I don't suppose anyone wants to make a table of those stats at different key levels and put the tables on a Wiki?
That would allow Pets to be added to DPS spreadsheets. Then a real DD measurement could finally be made :D.

If I come back, that's certainly what I would do. That's one of my big goals in investigating pet stats.
I don't know if I'll be back. I'd love to, but its not likely. I miss the game though :D.

Join ussssss.~ :3

I reactivated after being away for several months, and have been testing some things (sorry if this has already been reported elsewhere):

Herder's Subligar gives Pet: Acc/R.Acc +5

Pet: Accuracy and Pet: Evasion on equipment are very straight-forward and give you the indicated amount regardless of pet or pet level. Where things start to get interesting is how the Pet: Attack/Defense+ bonuses differ based on innate bonuses that pets have (i.e. the frogs have a built-in attack-30ish% and Falcorr has attack+12.5%). So when I equip Mirke Wardecors with Pet: Atk+15 on it, the frog only gets Pet: Atk+11 but Falcorr gets Pet: Atk+16.

Edit: Accounting for pet bonuses, Beast Bazubands give Pet: DEF+10.

yes do join us.

With the cooldown/price reduction on server transfers I sort of dream of us Zam beasts congregating on a single server and making a BST shell.

If I actually had some time I'd like to run a shell that was very pro-bst but I almost never have the time to play anymore.

A'ight, so using the /checkparam command on all of our pets, I've compiled these base stats. All pets were summoned with Monster Gloves +2 equipped (and nothing equipped in the Main Hand slot, so they're all guaranteed to be 99). Ordered by Attack, from highest to lowest:

Level 99 Pet Data
Name Attack Accuracy Evasion Defense Atk Adj% Def Adj%
GorefangHobs 711 472 418 355 +50% -20%
BloodclawShasra 662 481 428 442 +40% -
TurbidToloi 614 469 421 355 +30% -20%
ScissorlegXerin 568 482 421 400 +20% -10%
FlowerpotMerle 532 484 420 516 +20% +20%
LuckyLulush 518 492 418 487 +10% +10%
CaringKiyomaro 482 461 420 353 +10% -20%

BugeyedBroncha 474 469 418 444 - -

DipperYuly 473 467 542 409 +10% -
DroopyDortwin 472 472 418 444 - -
CrudeRaphie 458 463 406 678 - +30%
DapperMac 447 474 420 429 - -
SharpwitHermes 444 474 420 431 - -
AttentiveIbuki 433 472 441 398 -10% -10%
HeraldHenry 405 463 404 606 -10% +20%
SunburstMalfik 405 463 404 555 -10% +10%
GooeyGerard 379 469 412 579 -20% +30%
BraveHeroGlenn 331 466 426 310 -30% -30%
SlipperySilas 291 445 395 291 -30% -30%

So to work out a small example, if you want to know the attack of a level 99 LuckyLulush when you have Pastoralist's Mantle equipped (Pet: Attack +20), you look at his Attack modifier, which is +10% and apply that to the Mantle which means you're actually gaining Pet: Attack +22, so your final attack score will be (518 + 22) = 540 Attack.

In Abyssea, I examined the effects of STR/DEX/AGI/VIT on pets. Adding 50 STR via Atma of the Voracious Violet gives 25 attack to pets like BugeyedBroncha or FatsoFargann. So, pets use the old 1-hander formula for STR's effect on attack, STR/2. And similarly, 50 DEX gives 25 accuracy, 50 AGI gives 25 evasion, and 50 VIT gives 25 defense.

Pets which have the Atk Adj% modifier, like CaringKiyomaro's attack+10%, gain 27 attack when Atma of the Voracious Violet is applied. These factors are all important for examining how pet growth functions above level 99, since there will be increases in both attack values and STR values. For aspects of pets that have no innate modifiers, like Pet Evasion, item level growth occurs at identical rates dependent solely on the initial value. For example, FlowerpotMerle and CaringKiyomaro have the same evasion across all iLvls:
FlowerpotMerle Lvl 99: Attack: 532, Accuracy: 484, Evasion: 420, Defense: 516
FlowerpotMerle Lvl 106: Attack: 649, Accuracy: 589, Evasion: 517, Defense: 642
CaringKiyomaro Lvl 99: Attack: 482, Accuracy: 461, Evasion: 420, Defense: 353
CaringKiyomaro Lvl 106: Attack: 590, Accuracy: 566, Evasion: 517, Defense: 438

But now if we compare something like attack for two pets that start with similar values (but one of them has an Atk Adj% modifier of +10%) then it's very clear to see how they diverge:
FatsoFargann Lvl 99:Attack: 474, Accuracy: 469, Evasion: 418, Defense: 442
FatsoFargann Lvl 106:Attack: 572, Accuracy: 574, Evasion: 515, Defense: 547
FatsoFargann Lvl 113:Attack: 685, Accuracy: 687, Evasion: 617, Defense: 660
VS.
DipperYuly Lvl 99: Attack: 473, Accuracy: 467, Evasion: 542, Defense: 409
DipperYuly Lvl 106: Attack: 580, Accuracy: 572, Evasion: 639, Defense: 514
DipperYuly Lvl 113: Attack: 704, Accuracy: 685, Evasion: 741, Defense: 627

Even though FatsoFargann's attack is 1 point higher than DipperYuly at level 99, Dipper's +10% attack bonus gave it an overall advantage as it leveled to 113. And Dipper double-dipped from both the level-to-level attack boosts and the STR increases. Speaking of which, some of the iLvl STR increases have been quantified already so we know that iLvl 113 pets have STR+80 applied to them (which is attack+40 for Fatso, and attack+44 for Dipper).

Also, Philosopher's stones are up to 400k a stack. Looks like anyone wanting to use the mandy will need to take up chocobo digging. It's like SE said, "Okay we've effectively made all bullets and arrows free, guess we should load RNG and COR's costs onto BST."

Speaking Of Hermes...

Hermes: 788 acc 750 att 706 eva 745 def
Merle : 718 acc 808 att 633 eva 797 def

So it looks like they stealth fixed him so he no longer hits for 45 damage. Now he hits for about 120, which is still terrible. And they "Fixed" him by making him almost always weaker than Merle. (Barring very evasive enemies, which you won't use BST on anyway since all the pets have **** acc.) Merle, who is a level 76 jug made with 32 woodworking from 300 gil worth of NPC bought ingredients, and is incredibly common in all treasure caskets, is stronger than a level 104 alchemy synth that uses philosopher's stones and a drop from level 119+ endgame activity. That makes sense.

**** looking at those numbers, Merle might just cap out at a lower level, since I assume she's 114 and hermes is 119, and that's the only reason any of her stats are lower than Hermes. Guess we have Beast Killer Instinct back in time for Kamhir Delve, but it won't be from an impressive pet.

Someone already mentioned Run Wild giving accuracy bonuses. Seems like it gives a 25% boost or so to acc, att, eva, and def. So your pet can have almost the same stats as an unbuffed player and be kind of okay in endgame... for 5 minutes out of every 15, and at the cost of a new jug every single time.

Anyone with an Aymur able to see if it's got Pet level+2 hidden effect on the 119 version? Putting that on Nirvana and not Aymur/Kenkonken/Ryunohige would be absurd.

I posted a bit of that on the O forums. BST complaints are not high priority obvs, but at least can let people know how stupid that is

of course it will probably just result in merle getting nerfed, lol

Merle is stronger than Hermes not because of a higher cap but because she has a 20% att/def bonus

Pet Defense

I've done VIT testing in the past (which wasn't perfect, but made a good approximation), and now with /checkparam I think there's a superior method for determining a pet's VIT. For those who haven't seen it, there's an equation for calculating monster defense on the wiki which was taken from Studio Gobli testing done years ago.

I'll put a breakdown of the process under a spoiler.
Mob defense = [f(level,rank) + 8 + (VIT / 2) + Job Traits] * Multiplier

Where the function of "f" changes based on which "Rank" that monster's defense falls in. It also states that the majority of monsters are Rank C+ (which we'll see is the case with our selection of pets as well). I can't read the original source for the testing, but I don't think there was any data collected for toads... You can find the results of each Rank on the Combat Skills wiki page. There's a new rank (D+) that's necessary for some of the frog's stats to work out, so with that there are 8 rankings associated with level 51~99 monsters:

Rank A-: f = 163+[(Lv-50)*5.2] = 417
Rank B: f = 153+[(Lv-50)*5.0] = 398
Rank B-: f = 148+[(Lv-50)*4.9] = 388
Rank C+: f = 143+[(Lv-50)*4.8] = 378
Rank C: f = 138+[(Lv-50)*4.8] = 373
Rank C-: f = 138+[(Lv-50)*4.7] = 368
Rank D+: f = 128+[(Lv-50)*4.5] = 348
Rank D: f = 119+[(Lv-50)*4.4] = 334

Also important to note is the Defense Bonus job trait. All the WAR pets have Defense Bonus II (Defense +22), the PLDs have Defense Bonus VI (Defense +72), and the MNKs and... whatever the heck the frogs are, have none. So using this information, and borrowing a VIT value from my original testing, here's how you'd calculate DroopyDortwin's level 99 Defense (let's assume he's Rank C+):

VIT = 72
Multiplier = 1.0

Pet Defense = [f(level,defense rank) + 8 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [(378) + 8 + (72/2) + (22)] * (1.0)
= 444

Cool, pretty simple. After accounting for the innate defense bonus/penalty in most pets, you can see a lot of them hover around the 444 defense value (i.e. Lvl 99 LuckyLulush has 487 Def, but if you remove the +10% bonus, he actually only has 443 Def). The majority of pets fall in this range and have Rank C+ Defense. By knowing the Rank and the actual Def value, we can flip the formula around to calculate the pet's VIT. Here's an example with FatsoFargann:

VIT = X
Multiplier = 1.0
Defense = 442
Job Bonus = 22

Pet Defense = [f(level,defense rank) + 8 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
(442) = [(378) + 8 + (X/2) + (22)] * (1.0)
442 = 408 + (X/2)
(X/2) = 34
X = 68

My old tests indicated VIT = 69, so I was off by 1. :D

And with this information, we can figure out the Rank and VIT of all the jug pets - here they are, ordered by Defense from highest to lowest:

Level 99 Pet VIT and Defense Ranking
Name Rank Rank Def VIT Mod. Defense

Knowing these values will be helpful when examining the next big challenge - item level's effect on pets.

The Formula for Stats above level 99

This is one of the great mysteries we get to explore with /checkparam - what is the calculation that affects pet stats when we call them at level 100+? And I think I've got the beginnings of how it works...

I'll spoiler the meat'n'potatoes that show where the formula comes from:
If you look back at some of the first discoveries you'll see that there's no increase in HP from level 99 -> 100. And actually, the same is true for defense (and presumably attack/accuracy/evasion) but you'll only be able to see that once you remove the +VIT that is gained at level 100. In those old tests you can see that pets gained +28 VIT at level 100, +30 VIT at level 101, +47 VIT at 106, +70 VIT at 113, and this was verified by looking at the stat bonuses automatons and avatars received.

However, after a recent update, the +STR, +DEX, etc values increased for BST/DRG/SMNs. Doing some theorycrafting, and hoping that they maintained the same pattern (just altered the base value) for stat increases, I came up with this table:
Level Old Stat Boost Modifier New Stat Boost
 100 28 x1.10 32
 101 30 35
 102 33 38
 103 36 41
 104 39 45
 105 43 49
 106 47 x1.07 54
 107 50 57
 108 53 x1.06 60
 109 56 63
 110 59 67
 111 63 71
 112 66 75
 113 70 x1.05 80
 114 84
 115 x1.04 88
 116 91
 117 95
 118 98
 119 102

So for example, the modifier becomes 1.05 at iLvl113 which means the stat boost from 113 -> 114 is (80 * 1.05) = 84. I'm sure there's some kind of formula for when the readjustments take place but I have no clue what it would be - there's only 20 levels we're concerned with, so a look-up table is just as good. :)

To put this information into practice, let's look at DroopyDortwin again. Since he gains +1 defense for every +2 VIT, his level-to-level increase really looks like this:
 Level VIT Defense Pre-VIT Def.
   99 74 444 407
  100 106 460 407
  101 109 470 415

Just like MaxHP, there's no increase at level 100. You can think of it as being a "level 0" scenario, and you get a new set of +STR/DEX/etc to work with from this point onward. And speaking of level 0, do you see what happens at level 101 - before considering VIT, it gains +8 defense. Bringing this full-circle, if you look at the formula for defense, there's this random +8 in there for no good reason. Well, every player/monster at level 1 starts with 8 + Rank defense (so if you have a Rank C+ monster, at level 1 it would have 8 + [5] = 13 defense). So with that out of the way...

Here's my proposition for the Rank C+ defense formula for level 101+ pets:
Rank Level 1~50 Level 51~99 Level 100=99 Level 101+
 C+ 5+[(Lv-1)*2.8] 143+[(Lv-50)*4.8] No Change 378+[(Lv-101)*14.2]

And furthermore, the iLvl Pet Defense formula is:
iLvl Pet defense = [f(lvl/rank) + 16 + (VIT / 2) + job bonus] * multiplier

We'll use these pets that louispv tested for some examples.
louispv wrote:
Speaking Of Hermes...

Merle : 718 acc 808 att 633 eva 797 def

He said (quite rightly!) that FlowerpotMerle caps at 114 and SharpwitHermes is uncapped so far at 119. Both pets have Rank C+ defense, but FlowerpotMerle has a defense bonus of +20%. So:

iLvl 114 FlowerpotMerle:
Rank C+ Base Defense = 378 + [(Lv - 101) * 14.2]
= 378 + [(114 - 101) * 14.2]
= 562.6
iLvl Pet defense = [f(lvl/rank) + 16 + (VIT / 2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [(562.6) + 16 + (172 / 2) + 0] * (1.2)
= 797.52
= 797 Defense

And iLvl 119 SharpwitHermes:
Rank C+ Base Defense = 378 + [(Lv - 101) * 14.2]
= 378 + [(119 - 101) * 14.2]
= 633.6
iLvl Pet defense = [f(lvl/rank) + 16 + (VIT / 2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [(633.6) + 16 + (192/2) + 0] * (1.0)
= 745.6
= 745 Defense

Run Wild

Using dasva's data, I think I can accurately show that Run Wild is a +25% boost to stats. HeraldHenry's DEF values are listed as such:
 Level Defense Def w/Run Wild
  113 868 1036
  115 906 1082
  117 944 1129
  119 983 1177

We just use the iLvl Pet Defense function and apply the Run Wild multiplier to the base defense amount. A couple of these examples are off by a value of 1, probably due to floor()s that I'm unaware of. So to work out the Level 113 scenario:
VIT = 94+80 = 174
Rank C+ Base Defense = 378 + [(113-101)*14.2] = 548.4

Regular 113 Pet defense = [f(lvl/family/rank) + 16 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [548 + 16 + (174/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 867

Run Wild 113 Pet defense = [(f(lvl/family/rank) + 16)*1.25 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [(548 + 16)*1.25 + (174/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 1036

And more of the same for Level 115:
VIT = 94+88 = 182
Rank C+ Base Defense = 378 + [(115-101)*14.2] = 576.8

Regular 115 Pet defense = [f(lvl/family/rank) + 16 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [576 + 16 + (182/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 906

Run Wild 115 Pet defense = [(f(lvl/family/rank) + 16)*1.25 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [(576 + 16)*1.25 + (182/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 1083

Level 117:
VIT = 94+95 = 189
Rank C+ Base Defense = 378 + [(117-101)*14.2] = 605.2

Regular 117 Pet defense = [f(lvl/family/rank) + 16 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [605 + 16 + (189/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 944

Run Wild 117 Pet defense = [(f(lvl/family/rank) + 16)*1.25 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [(605 + 16)*1.25 + (189/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 1130

And finally, level 119:
VIT = 94+102 = 196
Rank C+ Base Defense = 378 + [(119-101)*14.2] = 633.6

Regular 119 Pet defense = [f(lvl/family/rank) + 16 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [633 + 16 + (196/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 983

Run Wild 119 Pet defense = [(f(lvl/family/rank) + 16)*1.25 + (VIT/2) + job bonus] * multiplier
= [(633 + 16)*1.25 + (196/2) + 72] * 1.2
= 1177

-=-=-=-=-

Therefore, Run Wild is a +25% bonus to defense (and most likely accuracy/attack/evasion as well). The +25% boost doesn't apply to the defense gained from VIT or the Defense Bonus job traits.

CaringKiyomaro:

(A MNK that has high MaxHP and counter attacks, but only attacks once per round, gains 6.4 TP/hit, and deals slashing dmg instead of blunt - he doesn't possess Critical Attack Bonus, so I'm sure he's still technically a MNK!)

Sweeping Gouge - Blunt damage

Best Unleash move ever.

And the final bit of testing for today: the wiki Run Wild page mentions some testing where it grants a Double Attack effect to pets (I suppose it's not completely outside the realm of possibility). They had tested using Dipper Yuly, which I thought could be misleading if one of the triple attacks misses or something... No additional source was listed, so I wanted to check it out personally. Using BraveHeroGlenn, and with no Pet: Double Attack gear equipped, I activated Run Wild, and he did throw out some Double Attacks which kind of amazed me. o_o

But then I summoned a new Glenn afterward just to make sure that he wouldn't naturally Double Attack - but it turns out he does. And furthermore, when using the <petmpp> command, it returns a value of 0% (which tells you that he has 0 MaxMP, unlike SlipperySilas who would return a value of 100%). So, hilariously, BraveHeroGlenn is a WAR pet. I confirmed that he has Critical Attack Bonus too, so the wiki page has been updated with that info.

Oh, nice! Thanks! :)

That actually makes the FaithfulFalcorr number work out really well:

Level 99 Falcorr Evasion = 513
Rank B Base Evasion = 398
Monster Evasion = f(level, main job evasion skill rank) + (AGI/2) + Job Trait
(513) = (398) + (AGI/2) + (72)
AGI/2 = 43
AGI = 86

Run Wild Monster Evasion = f(level, main job evasion skill rank)*1.25 + (AGI/2) + Job Trait
= (398)*1.25 + (86/2) + (72)
= 612.5

And from the table above, level 99 Falcorr Run Wild Evasion = 612
Cool, so we can see that Falcorr and Ibuki both have the same Evasion rank and AGI value (because they're birds, I guess? No flightless birds allowed, Dapper!), but Falcorr has +72 evasion from its THF job trait - awesome!

For DipperYuly's numbers to work out, there's a higher Evasion tier that he'll be placed in with a base value of 417.

Level 99 DipperYuly Evasion = 542
Rank A- Base Evasion = 417
Monster Evasion = f(level, main job evasion skill rank) + (AGI/2) + Job Trait
(542) = (417) + (AGI/2) + (72)
AGI/2 = 53
AGI = 106

Run Wild Monster Evasion = f(level, main job evasion skill rank)*1.25 + (AGI/2) + Job Trait
= (417)*1.25 + (106/2) + (72)
= 646.25

Level 99 DipperYuly Run Wild Evasion = 646

So, as far as accuracy calculations are concerned, do other pets like Automatons abide by the same rules that players do? I found this post on BG with regards to /checkparam and our understanding of combat skill-to-accuracy ratio. Based on these rules:
0~200 skill = 1 accuracy
200~400 skill = 0.9 accuracy
400~600 skill = 0.8 accuracy
I've added an "Approx. Combat Skill" column, but still looking for more insight before hammering down the exact skill/DEX amounts.

And finally, the Level 99 Pet Attack and STR data:
Name Rank Rank Atk. STR Atk Adj% Attack
GorefangHobs B 398 92 +50% 711

SlipperySilas D 334 72 -30% 291

The formula for attack/STR is identical to its defense/VIT counterpart:
Attack = [f(level,rank) + 8 + (STR / 2) + Job Trait] * AtkAdj

So for GorefangHobs, with Rank B Attack and STR = 92:
Attack = [f(level,rank) + 8 + (STR / 2) + Job Trait] * AtkAdj
= [(398) + 8 + (92 / 2) + (22)] * (1.5)
= [474] * 1.5
= 711

Thank you. You are awesome.

I'll have to check back at the forums more often. I think I'll try to sort and organize what you have here however I can.

Most of this thread was inspired by your initial testing, so we're happy to contribute. :D
Think you'll re-sub someday?

Some things are still left on the to-do list:
1. All of the STR/DEX/AGI/VIT values are designated as even numbers, so really a value of 88 could be 88 or 89.
I've been using the +X STAT bonus from the Familiar Job Point category to weed out which values are odd/even (works great for DEX/AGI, but is less clear for STR/VIT due to Atk/Def bonuses/penalties).

2. Figure out the relationship between our current known Combat Skill rankings and the DEX/Skill approximations. Pet Attack/Evasion/Defense all have roots there, and surely the same should apply to Accuracy... but all the values are abnormally high, like there's a bonus applied somewhere.

June 17th update brought 5 "new" pets, the HQ versions of the rabbit, crab, chapuli, tulfaire and pumba. (@_@)

Made a post on BG about the stat info, basically they get increased DEF/MaxHP. So it's kinda nice but not terribly essential. Good luck to the cooks trying to HQ these...
