Hi guys,

I'm an older player returning after 5 years, and when I left i'd only taken BST to 25ish, so still very new to the job itself.

I'm looking for some advice on the Usage of Broths basically from start to Abyss -> end game. I have no clue about when or what to use or the best way to go about obtaining them.

So what level should I start using jugs at? I'm guessing that i'll be doing some solo'ing but I might end up doing the GoV Gusgen Mines etc., Do i still use Broths in these parties? If so, which ones?
Would I be best starting Cooking just now and leveling it asap so i can start creating my own jugs?

Also do Jug Pets have a set length of time that they stay with you or are they with you until they die?

Thanks for any info,

Taim

most of what you want to look at is here:

I did not often use familiars leveling up. However, if you are killing dc/ep on pages then a familiar will likely be very good.
Use whatever is cost effective at lower levels.

at 75+ levels, Yuly is a great eva tank and thf.
Gooeygerard is a great magical tank
Gorefang Hobs is usually the best dd, but dies much more quickly

You'll want to understand the ready movies for most other choices of what to use, when.

You will find that familiars from lvl 76+ jugs are a lot more powerful than the ones from jugs that are level 75 and below. Beginning with the raising of the level cap beyond 75, SE significantly buffed the stats for new jug pets, relative to older jug pets. After you ding 76 and can call Nursery Nazuna, you can easily handle EM and even T mobs with a jug pet. But before that point, don't expect your jug pets to be able to handle anything much higher than low DC.

I wouldn't sweat the broths at all. I'm BST 70 and I have finally used my first broths for my Maat fight. Great and necessary for 75+, but largely a waste before this point, IMO.
