Glavoid soloFollow

I'm at the Glav stage Ukon, and I hate begging ppl for help, especially help with something like Glavoid, which everyone is sick of doing. Can you wonderful ppl give me the run-down on exactly how I should go about this? I'm currently farming NMs for the easy KI, and using Primal Rend to build amber and gold-box farm the other KI. Building popsets is a pain, so I'd rather not learn how to solo Glav through trial-and-error. Any advice would be appreciated. Atma setup, how to handle gorge/disgorge, etc. Thanks in advance.

I have no expirience myself with Glavoid, but from what i read on the subject it should be vastly more comfortable to solo it on SMN. (If you really have to solo it, that is.) The guy in the thread used DC,MC and RR:

Hope that helps a bit, and i´m sure someone who did it on BST will be in here soon!

Are you talking about glavoid?
Dipper works great for it, but I prefer Toloi for the amorph killer instinct. I do more damage and take less.
I tend to use savior atma instead. and I don't use pet haste gear on this fight. pets cure too much when glavoid absorbs physical.
Trick is making sure you have a good WS and hitting it at the right time.
Only his big occasional 9k damage move is a threat and you would need to change pets.
I melee from the side and make sure to turn around at the right times. stun bad things like AoE magic or bad tp moves.
He only gets tricky for me under 10% when he gets super spammy.

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

Savior atma...yeah, I wish. For those who don't have it, would you just go RR/DG/MC?

I gather from that post that there's no "trick" to avoiding/mitigating Disgorge? You just eat it and call a new pet. What if he does it again before CB timer is up? There are agressive mobs all around the area ppl normally fight him at, so should I be pulling him far away to somewhere where I can safely kite until CB is back up, or maybe just try not to feed any TP until CB is up?

Mounted Champion is fine instead of savior. Several other options would work as well.
Disgorge does not always kill your pet, but is the only thing that is likely to. You do not need to swap pets often. Maybe 3 times if you drag it on forever. I never had to kite waiting for CB.

Savior atma is like anything in abyssea, its not really hard to get, just takes a little time and focused effort.
