In fact, I'll go a step further, just because it irritates you, AshOnMyTomatoes should post more. Smiley: nod

The funny thing is, Kechup really was saying the same thing Stubs is saying now. He was horrified that people found tasteless jokes amusing.

I'm not surprised that you just don't get it. It's rather been your modus operandi for some time now.

You don't get it because your analogy is flawed. I can't simultaneously be the kid who says anything and everything because I think people will like me and the guy who bullies everyone, can I? Hell, you seem to have forgotten the motivations you assigned to me not even a week ago; I wasn't group-oriented then, but I am now?

I honestly have no idea why people in this forum rate me up. I assume it's because they come here to be entertained, as do I, and they find that I facilitate that goal.

If you want, though, I'd be happy to have folks provide testimonials as to why they love me. Actually, I think Rime's 11k ding thread is a great place to do it, too.

The OoT really can't have enough threads about me.

Doug raped someone and they contracted AIDS. Signs point to yes.

I read that as, "Were Depends, AIDS and/or rape involved?", which is even more disturbing.

Every time I see the Doug has Aids meme, I feel a little leap of joy because it reminds me that a horrible thing could have happened to Doug, but it didn't after all. It's a mini celebration of his escape all over again.

For readers not in on the Doug/Aids joke I suppose it's bewildering, but at least they get the idea that there is a poster around with AIDS, so they realise they are in the company of a sub-group that they might normally have subconsciously/consciously have avoided out of fear. This is a good thing, it acclimates them to the fact that there is a person there, not just a disease.

Humans can interpret the same set of facts in so many different ways.

However, I don't rate up people for the easy spouting of memes, even if it did give me a giggle. Unless it is used in an OUTSTANDING way. Which this wasn't.

At Sage, BTs default score is Good, remember that. It only takes 2 rate-ups to put a post of his at Excellent.

Quite frankly, when he's not being inventively ironically funny, or serious, other posts of his ARE just the lowest mindless form of schoolyard bullying.

But there's a LOT of posters around who are playing games, for a massive, long running joke, for everyone else's amusement. Kaain can look really AWFUL, until he pops out one of his few serious posts. Usagi can look scary-repulsive etc.

You have to have been around a looooong time to see what they are up to, and of course, so often, in the short-term, the joke isn't funny, or it doesnt' work, or it's completely insensitve to a reader who has only met them a few times, and isnt' "in on it". Not just insensitive, but downright offensive. I understand that.

anyway, grats Rimesume!
