I came here to post the Quran DVD burning joke, but this thread has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I mean, how can you even say that? Nothing beats a good steak. Well, one thing beats a good steak: A good steak with a side of bacon. Thank god, I was born in the right part of the world.

I'm not really a steak fan. But curry is delicious.

Bacon is good with certain cuts of steak, but I find my favorite cuts are those that do not require anything else to be absolutely delicious.

Filet Mignon only gets better when you wrap it with thick cut bacon.

Why ruin a good slice of bacon with cow-meat?

And as it turns out, that's not my favorite cut of steak.

Bacon double cheeseburger. Unkosher in at least three faiths.

I'm not well-versed in beef cut terminology, but I believe there's something called a sirloin in English, and it's fantastic!

New York Strip steak is awesome on the barbecue. Just salt and pepper both sides and throw it on over red hot coals. Serve with an ice cold beer.

Don't serve beer ice cold, it's a waste of beer because you can't taste it if it's very cold.

Of course, if you are drinking pisswater, the colder the better.

I'm looking for ways to incorporate shrimp into it. And by looking, I mean the idea is in my head and that's about the extent of the effort I've put into it.

I shall take up your challenge! This weekend I will drink ice cold Founders Porter and cold Founders Porter and see if I can determine a difference in taste.

Yes, this will be a great sacrifice, but I do this For Science!

It's a porter, it should be served at close to room temperature. And if you serve it relatively cold and drink it slowly you can smell and taste the difference as it warms up.

I know that when my heineken goes from ice cold to cold it's like "okay, need to drink faster". And then when it goes from cold to no longer cold it's like ********** I took to long, chug this now before it gets worse."

I'd say it's a crap beer, but it goes decently with pretzels when it's cold imo.

Heineken is basically the Dutch Bud or Coors or whatever, not much different from any other large brand pilsner.

Sheesh. Science is hard.

I just can't drink warm beer. I may have to go through the rest of my life missing out on that. Too much warm beer in college to undo the taste memory now.

I had a geology professor who was on a dig in Africa for something like 3-6 months, and unsurprisingly developed a taste for warm beer in that time.

Probably about 2% of my lecture was paying attention (ever), but when he said that every single student let loose a cry of disgust. Smiley: lol
