Trying to decide right now if there has ever been a more overrated game in history.

Edit:

Really herp-derp typo.

Half-Life 2 was awesome.

It didn't capture the atmosphere of the original, but it was awesome in its own way.

And Half Life 3 is already more overrated despite not existing yet.

Is TF2 really "overrated"? I get that there's some really enthusiastic players (usually Valve acolytes) but I don't usually see it called the bestest game in history or anything like HL2, FF-Whocares, Mass Effect, etc.

It's one of those games where you work with people to shoot other people right?

In theory. In reality, it's the game where everyone goes Spy and Sniper and no one will get on the damn point.

I only ever bothered to play pub servers

So like on a PvP server where everyone is running around as stealth classes ganking the poor newbies who thought playing a mage looked like fun.

Yeah, except the spies and snipers are usually hilariously incompetent. I think all my first kill achievements playing medic were against spies.

Back to the OP, there's no reason for ZAM to run a TF2 site since anything worth looking up is on the TF2 Wiki.

Yeah, it's just a fun, free game with a large playerbase. I like playing from time to time, though I only really ever play Heavy or Medic. I like Soldier, but I'm terribad at it.

I'm pretty sure everyone that has a Steam account has played their share of TF2. Quite frankly, it's not so complicated a game that it needs additional web pages dedicated to it. The various wikis are more than enough. I'm not saying it's a bad game, far from it. It's a very easy to pick up shooter with a good sense of humor and just enough depth to keep you playing without getting frustrated. But it already gets it's fair share of attention, no need for more.
