I kept hearing it in the background on TV the past week, and recognized the voice. I watched a lot of Victorious... So I decided to look it up. It doesn't help that I got a thing for Ariana Grande... part of me dislikes the song, and her voice (something about it, both off putting and attracting). Another part of me can't get enough.

Also, either she needs to do a better job lip syncing, or the editors need to do a better job **** the song to the video and her lip movements. Or maybe she just moves her mouth weird when she sings... I dunno. But it really doesn't match.

I... can't remember. I thought it was "editing"... but now I can't remember for sure, and what ever it was it was not a bad word. Maybe a typo that got caught, but I can't think of anything that would fit.

fitting

linking
syncing
editing

I can talk about fisting Ariana Grande.

But if I try to talk about how **** that statement may be, Google freaks out.

I listen to a wide range of music I "shouldn't" listen to. I shall now share:

(The below are all NSFW)

Anyhoots, why should you not like the song in the OP Tirith?

Cause it's not my usual cup of tea, so to speak. It's something I know I shouldn't personally be liking, but do.

Edit:
No angry Google in that one, surprising.

That is the great thing about music.
What do you normally listen to (type)?

I don't listen to much. Usually what ever classic rock station I can find on the radio. And I'll always listen to comedy and parody songs.

Radio stations where I live have a really boring loop most of the time. Every 2 hours or so the same songs. I usually tune into NPR so at least I'm listening to something different all the time.

Oh god.. NPR..

"Classic" rock is cool. I was raised on it, via parents who actually grew up with it.

NPR is the only talk radio channel in my neck of the woods.

There are maybe 6 radio stations total.

Classic rock
Popular music
Popular music Lite (no rap, hard rock, very little hip hop)
Country
NPR Talk
NPR classical music

I don't usually get to hear much beyond the genres I'm already interested in because I don't watch TV nor listen to radio (I had to look up what Weird Al's songs were parodies of for every one of them) but I think the concept of guilty pleasures in music is kind of flawed anyway.

That all said, I ordered Sunn O)))'s Monoliths & Dimensions album and it came in today, it's awesome.

Sunn O))) is drone metal, the albums 4 songs clock in at between 45 and 50 minutes total and have less notes than your average pop song chorus. They've been described to me as having the melody of a vacuum cleaner before and that's pretty accurate. Still fucking awesome when played with the volume at 11 though.

You'd probably like early Pink Floyd.

My guilty pleasure is the theme song to 'Outlander'.

I hate classic rock stations because they're now playing Nirvana. Smiley: mad

haha. My Father says the same thing.
In the STL area: KSHE is a rock station, it plays basically a little of everything rock.
KHITS is part of the company, and it came around when the "classics" became classic. But now it plays music that is 20+ years old. Thus Nirvana or any rock from the 80s-90s
I know there is a 3rd, should be part of the same company, that now plays "classics" and nothing 80s+.

I'll be in the car with him, and if I know the song, but he does not, he turns the radio off or changes it. He is a bigot, so he always as a lame racist excuse as to why that song is "bad" Smiley: laugh

I don't see why Nirvana, Motley Crüe and Aerosmith can't coexist on the same radio channel.

My stepdaughter has introduced me to many songs no one should like... yet I have seen/listened to many times before willfully.

Here is one about enthusiasm over vegetable juice

And around here there are a few. I listen to one that is more alternative, while there is another that plays everything rock.

J-Pop should count towards anything. Once you step into the world of j/k/asain-pop/rap/rock...you are entering a whole new world. BabyMetal, love it. Miku Hatsune, she might not be real, but I have blasted the music...

I find Babymetal more cheesy than anything else, it sounds way too forced and like they just stapled some cliches together.

Oh yeah.

Here's a better, even catchier one. I have no idea what it's about.

and then there's the super cute 3D model version

Now imagine having this stuck in your head five nights a week during grueling manual labor in a warehouse from sundown to sunrise. There is a 10 hour version.
