I am suggesting a new Geode item called Geode clusters. Geode clusters would have a rare chance to drop from elementals during their corresponding weather.
example: Light elementals during an auroras could drop a light Geode cluster that could be broken down into 12 light geodes.

Sounds like a neat idea. It would certainly save time. Just 1 problem I can see. Geodes themselves stack to 99. Perhaps multiple geodes or a pouch or something simular instead. Multiple Geodes would help quite a few people trying to complete magian weapons. I like where your head is on this. :D

There definitely needs to be better ways to get geodes into the economy (espically flame geodes), now a cluster of geodes might be a little much but maybe have it so all higher level (geode-level) elementals have a chance to drop a geode of that element regardless of weather, and will always drop at least one geode during weather (with a chance at 2).
Could add an NPC that can turn 12 clusters into a geode. Though, we still need one for turning 12 crystals into a cluster. As for geodes to -ites, I wouldn't mind some kind of alchemy synth involving the geode, philosopher's stone, and some other reasonable items if needed.
Do you mean something simular to the way ancient currency is obtained from dynamis and what not? I see dual benefits here. The ability to more easily obtain your required geodes plus preparing players for making relic weapons should they choose to and have yet to enter dynamis or attempt a relic weapon. This could potentially drive up the price of crystals on the AH, at least for the short term. Might make me haul my furry hide up to sky and farm like mad.

I could see a synergy recipe working for this; something like X-number of crystals for 1 geode, X-number of clusters for 1 ????-ite. Make it a mid level recipe, like around lv30-40 range. Personally, I could work with that. Could drive crystal/cluster prices up a bit, bring down certain geode/????-ite costs.

12 clusters would be more expensive then almost any single geode with the exception of maybe flame but it wouldn't take long for the prices of fire crystals to get jacked up to be more costly then what geodes are now. I guess it would give a way for someone to camp theirs but sky would end up packed with people trying to farm them.

While farming fire clusters is a pain, farming actual crystals isn't too rough. Someone hurting for such geodes would have a choice, then, farm for gil specifically to buy or farm the crystals to make the geodes. The former will probably be the most productive every time, but even upping the potential supply won't hurt.
I'd love to go Element farming for Geodes. Price might drop, and that could be a good/bad thing. It would come down to what side you stand on. I'd farm fro gil, to be bale to buy other types. On my server some are worth much more than others.
