For now, yes. Because the first new NPCs for Abyssea were available in Port Jeuno, and not added to other areas until much later, everyone just hangs out in Port Jeuno now. All mission shouts and party shouts are there.

That's okay, I only know about half the folks on the server myself, because very few of the native Bismarckians even talk to me.

i talk to like 6 people when online which isn't often, and they are the 6 people who went to bismark from lakshmi and took mageoholic to. So ya all my old FFXI buds from when I first started having a final hurrah together. Its odd that the very first person I met in the game still plays, and that 5/6 of them were in our first linkshell. We got split up over the years but somehow we are all back together in the last days of the game, just like we were in the start.
It reminds me of the FFXI story on youtube (can't look it up)

The original friends who got me into FFXI all quit when we hit level 30. I was the only one that kept going. I was in a social linkshell based out of Livejournal, so some of them I still keep in touch with and I give them status updates on all the stuff I'm doing in XI now that they're missing.
