:) Ok, Originally I was on Carbuncle server when I played a bit in my off time from exploring Japan; and working and doing classes on the base so i could stay as a dependent there checking out those neat things those crazy Japanese folks have. This was sometime in mid 2006 - Apr ~ish 2007. Had planned on coming back sooner but that didn't pan out between more school and lack of hours with new job. But now that I have a better job things are moving better for myself in re-world hoping to get back into both FFXI & FFXIV.
I moved here to Bismarck for maybe the dumbest reason possible cause same thing happen to me when i xfered to Carbuncle. Friend I know plays; suggested I should come back. Now I'm in-game and bloody bullocks I need a LS and people to play with cause this is all different then it use to be and he's no where to be found half the time.
In game name is Feaude; my other is Carbtisiphone (was Tisiphone on Carbuncle; but since there also seems to be a tisiphone here on this server; i prefixed my name to match as a reminder where i came from, not a spelling error or something outrageous)

I currently have all expansions; and looking to get going again; making gil, getting better gear cause i know my gear is so outdated its embarrassing.
Gusgen mines was a terrible place to do mining to get rid of pickaxes ; ; skellies whooped me a good lickin' lv74 to lv73 -.- yup joy of new things.

Welcome back! I too am a recent re-start. I played in '04, quit in '05, started again and played til sometime in '06. Then quit again until June of 2012. In game name is Braewyn. I'm currently 60RDM, with my level cap currently at 70. I'm going to be gearing up for my Maat fight soon. But presently I'm leveling my DNC as sub cause it's a pretty awesome job.
I found a nice LS by way of this very forum. So though asking questions and things you might come across a helpful LS yourself.
Oh, and be prepared to spend a lot of time in Gusgen Mines if you're leveling anything between level 15-35. It's one of (if not THE) go-to place for alliance-based GoV partying. A lot has changed since the old days. Some things better, some not so much. But overall it lets you get further in the game without as much of a time-sink. Which for me, at this point in my life, is necessary.
