I finished this a week or so ago. I had help doing the first one (The Hound). Then I solo'd the last two (Tiger and Couerl).

The important thing is sneak and invis. But also Blink or Utsusemi. What job are you trying to do the quest with? I was on Red Mage. I had Blink/Stoneskin up. So I ran in to the back of the cave with Sneak/Invis on. The guard is true sight so obviously they detect me and take a shot at me, that knocks Invis off, then I'm able to touch the ??? and get the fragicite, then I run like hell back out of the cave. The guard will stop chasing you at a certain point, the important thing is being prepared to take a couple hits on your way out the door. If you can survive a couple hits, you're all good.

The other option, if you don't have Blink/Utsusemi, is just have Reraise going on. Run as far as you can out of the cave and if you die, you die. Just wait for the guard monster to go back into the cave, raise yourself and on to the next one. You can pick up Instant Reraise from the Outpost in the middle of Xarcabard. So do that before each one. And just make sure you have Sneak/Invis cast (or have taken potions to do so) while you're running thru Xarcabard.

I really was shocked at how well the last two parts went while soloing it. Again, Sneak/Invis on the way out, then make sure you have Blink or Reraise for the way out.

I'd offer to help but I'm only lvl 61 right now. I just finished G3, gonna get to 65, then do G4. G3 you're definitely going to want help with. If you think soloing G2 is a death trap, just try doing G3 solo. (actually, don't, because it really is a death trap). :)
