Seems my old server forum is the least active here, it is just as slow on the KI forum too. /sadness *reflects on the good old days*

Anyway, as you were.

My thanks.

Spent my first evening back checking out all the old sites. I still remember the giant tree event for the outpost warps haha, wish I had thought to take some screens.

I got my first LS during that event, I can't remember the name of it but I believe the leader was Bottohatto or something. My second LS which the name also escapes me was lead by Kurosawa, and I stayed in it till he went emo one day and broke it.

I doubt anyone wishes to hear about my old memories so feel free to skip over this as I am bored at work with time to kill. After Kuro snapped that shell I got into Silence of the Taru led by Inque, that was a damn good LS and I always have fond memories of it.

I wish I could relive those old n00b days when it was me, Slacker, and Morg subjob-less getting destroyed in the dunes for the first time haha.

Ah well, enough rambling from me, peace.

I rarely post on any forums now nowadays. I have seen across different Internet forums that way too much misinformation and confusion, and being loud and rude.

Sorry for the negative last paragraph -- it is something I just wanted to say. Back on top topic. Glad to see you are back -- this is the type of posts I am really looking for Smiley: smile. If you in need anything, please feel free to ask.

Well since this is a fresh install for me, I have no macros. I had my old macros on a flash drive but sadly that was destroyed a few weeks ago due to an over abundance of Rum I consumed.

Whilst rebuilding my macros tonight I ran a Besieged with my RDM. I no longer have all the decent RDM gear I once had, so my performance was lack luster. Good thing is the cost of staves have dropped a lot since I left, the HQ gear is about the same I think.

It figures SE would add new Enspells after I left haha. Seems they have added a few more JA to some class as well. I read about the FoV, I guess people don't group like they did since those came out. Or at least the low level zones I ran through seemed empty.

I wouldn't mind a leveling SP like I used to have back in the day, would be cool to party through the old zones again. Course my SP was only half a SP, was just my RDM, BRD, and SAM but we made it to 75. Having no set tank sure makes you enjoy the good ones, course naturally we would get goofballs 50% of the time haha.

So whats the top LS on the server now? Last I remember WW was pretty big when I left but I hear the left not long ago.

I think the problem in the game is not the lack of content, but more an issue how people approach the content. I think you will do a good and reasonable job for first knowing what to do before looking into the gear. I have faith in people who know what to do will do the best what they have in hand.

It is always better to get what gear you have already to work first and then get better gear. I do not even have time to perfect my gear, but I do work on my gear for the time I got to play; but for now, got to get what I have to work first.

There are tons of stuff to try. Feel free to hit me up if you need a hand or a partner :P

Agreed, no lack of content for me. In fact sometimes I feel like there is so much to do I will never get it done. I reckon that's why I like this game so much, plenty to do.

I wasn't on my RDM for more than 5 minutes and got an invite (pity my gears gone) that is one thing that has been very rare in other MMOs. I know in AoC I got three jobs to 80 and only had 5 parties between all of them. WoW wasn't any better, heck people never even spoke in WoW outside of Trade chat.

Seems if people can solo to cap easy they wont even try to group. I know when I first went to AoC after playing FFXI I felt a major freedom being able to solo my way through. No grind at all till about level 70, and that was due to a shortage of quests. Still, going through that game solo became very lonely. Even though I was in a decent sized guild they never grouped till level cap for group instance runs.

Some of my best memories in FFXI came from pick up groups and watching the madness unfold. In AoC I made some friends from my old guild, but we were never as close as my FFXI friends. Meeting by random chance only to party for the first time in the dunes seemed to draw us together. Suffering through very bad groups and talking about it with each other in /tells was also funny.

FFXI just seems to open up more chances to meet people and converse over the other MMOs I have played so far. AoC, WAR, and WoW had very good points and I had a lot of fun in each, but they lacked a certain something that FFXI has.
