Hi,
I decided to get back into ffxi, since cataclysm is coming up and all my friends are sitting by their comps instead of on console.
I´ve never been quite high lvl on ffxi, think my highest is a 50 DRG, but the thing is. When i started low-lvl again now, it seems there is no people online to group with. I´ve been standing around with a party ikon for about 4 hours today, not even a single /tell.
Is there somewhere else low-lvl players lvl now instead of Valkurm Dunes? And if not, how am I suppose to get up in lvl?

You would probably be better off looking for low lvl jobs and constructing the exp party yourself if you wanted to do the whole dunes thing. Having said that I believe the normal way of levelling now is either solo or duo using the fields of valor system to at least level30, then trying to convince people of letting you be the keyholder for abyssea parties, or make your own abyssea party and be the keyholder. Just remember you need high level players to do this.
If you keep your flag up while working through the fields of valor content you might get a lucky exp party invite but dont count on it.

And what is abyssea? ^^
Got the feeling im in need of a LS, but not really sure how to get hold of one. When i go in to jeuno to shout, my xbox freeze up :/
EDIT: Figured out what field of valor is, gonna be hard as solo whm though :P

Well i can fix you up with a pearl i guess, just about to login our LS is a small social and we forbid all cursive language. Solo whm is not that bad especially if u open a lot of the blue boxes as you go or use refresh for 10 tabs from the fov books. Ingame name=Dellfi.
