Nah, the superpac money is basically contra limiting. The GOP will spend whatever they think they have to to counter the DEM media in the General (and to nominate Romney, if it comes to that).

Not that it was ever really very difficult to channel soft money into media buys, but now it's essentially frictionless. The reported fundraising numbers for either party or candidate for the general election will mean almost nothing this time.

Best case, some issue sticks that makes Romney unattractive to moron independent voters, but those idiots are rarely aware of politics until around November, so it would have to be pretty significant.

Notes about Florida: Normally Florida would award 99 delegates but, because they're breaking the RNC rules by having their primary so early, they are being docked about half and only award 50 delegates. However, they are also awarding those delegates as "winner takes all" instead of the proportional system other states are using until April. Right now, Romney has a six delegate lead on Gingrich (34-28) but whoever wins Florida is going to have a pretty large lead. Especially since the next ~20 states will be awarding proportionally. I believe the largest prizes of CA and TX are winner takes all, but they don't come until later, (I think) May and June.

I doubt it is an issue with knowing the endorsed candidate so much as it is an issue with a paycheck. And let's be honest, those paychecks aren't coming in like they used to for the Texas Ranger.
