We're predicted to get between 1 to 2 feet of snow over the next day or so. It just started flaking.

I'm planning to stay home from work tomorrow. When I don't have to drive anywhere, winter storms go from being miserable to magical.

Who else is getting whomped by winter?

10-15 cm with reports that it could go up to 30 cm. So 6-12 inches. Enough to suck but not so much that we can't go to work. I just managed to break the 5 inches of solid ice off of my driveway...

Ya we getting hammered with now on the north shore of lake Erie. Probably a good 4-5CM so far. Reports saying anywhere from 15-25CM. At least we had a nice couple day break.

Rain and wind, we're expecting a little snow next week. Doubt it'll be anything noteworthy other than it being March.

It's been damn near 20°C here already (68°F) and it's been 16-18°C since Friday. We really didn't get any winter and spring is very early. It's crazy.

I have clients here from Nebraska saying the same thing. 70F and haven't had more than an inch of snow all winter.

We've had a lovely few days here with temps in 60's, but it's going to go to hell this afternoon with strong winds right before we get thunderstorms and the temperature drops into the 30's.

I would be outside enjoying the warmth and my lovey crocuses, but for the grew out front working on the gas lines along my street. They would finally get to work on it, the one day I wake up with a migraine. They had to put off the job last 2 weeks due to the snow storms we had. While most of today we can expect rain, we may get wintery mix towards the end of the storms they say will be coming through here tonight.

We've had maybe 20 or 30 hours of below 0°C temperatures all winter. We've just had autumn from September through February.

Yesterday it was 65F and sunny. Right now it's snowing and it's going to be in the single digits tomorrow. Friday it's supposed to be in the 50s. This is just weird.

Yesterday I sat out on my new deck in a tank top, sipping beer between coats of paint. Tomorrow I'll have to wear a long sleeve shirt, but that's about it. These threads and updates from friends and family back north make me stop and relish where I live Smiley: cool

It's certainly better than sipping beer from cans of paint.

Tuesday it was sunny and 65; snow melted all over the place.
Wednesday (yesterday) started around 40 then dropped to 20; got about an inch of rain then it turned to ice. Ice falling from the sky; everything on the surface insta-froze; pellets freezing to the ground resembled coarse sandpaper so it didn't seem all that slippery. By 9pm last night my car was encased in ice, so much that I had to yank several times just to loosen up the door handle, let alone actually open the door.
This morning the car was mostly clear of ice since it had been sitting in the early sunlight, but it's still cold!
