Our parade lacked horses. Extremely disappointing.

Smiley: disappointed

It was 65 and raining during our parade. Afterwards, delayed our cookout plans till tomorrow then floated the kayak around the yard.

Didn't do a parade but grilled burgers then went to my sister's for fireworks. All the usual stuff of arriving early to get a spot and try and beat the traffic (she lives near the place they do them so yay free driveway parking) then waiting around an hour for it to actually get dark enough to start, etc. But the little guy was so excited when they started and was hopping up and down on my lap yelling "Wow!" so that made it all worth it. Only get a couple years of that before before you can't get them to look up from their tablet or something.

The 4th was a total wash-out, but come Saturday night stuff was blowing up all over the neighborhood.

People have gotten quite brazen since fireworks were made legal again in Maine.

Once the weather settled. I'd like to think I hit at least one squirrel with the roman candles.
