If you thought it offended me, why would you do it? Pretty hypocritical of you.

It was inadvertent. Sorry.

Beck is a superb musician.

Beyonce is immensely popular.

What a choice.

Beck responds. No one cares about the Grammys (or any industry's awards for that matter), so I figure Kanye is getting paid to stir the pot.

You should really be able to figure it out from context, but it means "to be dismissive [of], to treat with contempt."

I would have assumed it had something to do with shadowing. "Major Shade".

I'd guess he bodily threw a member of the armed forces at her to get her to stop dancing.

Irrelevant. Though, if one of my poorly written statements could be perceived as being derogatory and offensive to a race of people, I'd correct it and move on.

The fact that you wrote a poorly written statement to decry what you perceive to be a poorly written statement is quite relevant with regards to the pot meeting the kettle.

If the award were for "most talented artist", then that fact would play in effect.

That's the "beauty" of art, it's all subjective. The criteria for a "superb" musician can and will vary.

Honestly, Metallica wasn't involved, so I generally don't care. It just amused me.

Down boy. I didn't 'decry' a poorly written statement.

I merely said that the statement in question was poorly written and could be misunderstood. I'm a horrid writer. I've never claimed otherwise.

Right. What someone needs to explain to Yeezy is that Beyonce is a black woman, and, critically: people can *see* her. If she looked like Taylor Swift she'd win more awards. This fucking insane pretend surprise that she doesn't by white people needs to stop. Beck's a talented guy, he won because voters are racist. These are people who voted for Macklemore over Kendrick Lamar. There is zero chance skin color isn't the most important factor followed distantly by talent or quality.

I'm in no way trolling. Grammy voters are racist. I'm not sure how this can even be argued otherwise given the near infinite amount of evidence.

Beck has five Grammys (16 nominations - 31% wins) since 1995. Beyonce has 20 (53 nominations - 38% wins) since 2000.
