Sure, but most states don't get great polling because no one cares about S. Dakota. But you could probably just look at state polling for six or eight states if you wanted.

I would assume the swing states would get the best polling.

LOL @ Cruz refusing to endorse Trump during his RNC but rather telling people to "vote their conscience up and down the ballot" Smiley: laugh

You would think we'd get more respect. Without us, where are you gonna get your sorghum sunflower seeds...DELEWARE?

EDIT: Apparently South Dakota is no longer the sorghum king...sad days, people.Smiley: cry

Camp Trump is saying they knew about Cruz's speech hours in advance and vetted it. I ask you: Are these the faces of people who knew hours in advance what was going to happen? Trump Jr and Ivanka managed to remain half-composed while upset but the other three have bitch-faces that could cut glass Smiley: laugh

The best part about all of that drama is now the pledge they forced on Trump to "keep him from running Independent" is being used to bludgeon everyone else.

Also ChrisChris demanding punishment for anyone is a bit of a lark after his whole bridge incident.

On Tuesday night, Chris Cox, chief lobbyist for the NRA, gave a speech about Clinton and guns and more guns. Not out of line for a GOP gathering but sort of weird for "Make America Work" night (although none of the speeches were really on theme).

Turns out the Trump campaign invited the wrong Chris Cox and meant to invite Chris Cox, former US Rep and SEC commissioner which would make a lot more sense on a night devoted to labor and commerce. The correct Mr. Cox was listed on the schedule but, apparently, wasn't actually invited.

As Ezra Klein over at Vox put it, this conventions been a complete goat rodeo.

Shame it wasn't marketed as such, the sight of Trump's wife trying to stay on a goat for 8 seconds would have probably drawn in a good number of more viewers.

Was personally thinking more "History Channel" but hey, why not both? They're not so different these days anyway.

I'm pretty sure History Channel's schedule is full with lessons about the pawn industry.

I was under the impression that Trump wants peace with Eurasia, so we can concentrate on our true enemy, Eastasia.

That's mad. Why change such a long-standing policy, one which has served us so well?

When I am president, we're going to have a beautiful signal. It's going to be huge, believe me. On January 20, 2017 you'll be able to catch all the Pokemon you need no matter where you are.

On a more depressing note, I was amazed at the amount of praise going on last night when Trump took the brave stance that maybe we shouldn't just allow the GLBTQ community to be murdered. "Wow, Trump said he'd protect GLBTQ from being killed and audience cheered! Amazing! It's a whole new GOP!"

Muslims are more dangerous than gay people obviously, how nice we can all stand together when threatened so severely.

Trump has generally not been anti-gay, just the GOP.

I'm more depressed at the low bar for backpatting. "He said they shouldn't be murdered! Wow!!" Hey, I bet Pence would have said "We probably shouldn't murder gays" while signing the "religious freedom" law.

He has been, which is nice. Certainly hasn't seemed the type to want to turn back the clock on anything that's changed in the last few years. But to "protect our LGBT citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology" seems like it's more a talking point for fear-mongering than anything else. I guess it's nice he could weave it into the speech though. I'd like to think other GOP people would as well in this case. Us vs. them kind of thing, at least gay Americans are still Americans?

He did say he wanted them included as a protected class on the civil rights act.

He has however, been dragooned into taking the party line on gaay marriage however, which while disappointing, isn't unexpected.

Which is a shame because most wedding cakes have that terrible frosting on them.
