...it's beeeen a longggg time...you're just as lovely...as youuuuuu...wait, no, no you're not...but I still like you ok.

What's up folks? How's everyone been? Anything new? I don't mean people...I don't care about new people...get off my lawn. Unless you need advice. If you're new, and need advice, I'll tell you what to do. Anyone who's been around for a while already knows I'll tell them what to do and how to contact me elsewhere.

I'm good! Had my first root canal last week, that was interesting. How's my girl Hannah?

She's awesome! She's in 5th grade this year, which is insane, and this is her first year of travel soccer (she's just terrible and in the worst team, but she's having fun mostly and getting exercise, so hey, what the hell...she's totally mine so you know, no hope for athleticism there). What's new with you? Anything? Well, besides the root canal...which I've never had but since I only marry men with terrible teeth, I'm familiar with the unpleasantness of. Sorry.

Honestly the most traumatic part of it was cracking the tooth. That hurt some, but the psychic shock was much worse.

The entire process was fascinating, though; my dentist was excited that I wanted to know exactly what he was doing so he walked me through every step with x-rays and mini-lectures. I think he would have used hand puppets if the gloves would fit over them.

Other than that, taking some cooking classes that aren't actually called "Quick & Dirty Cooking" but should be. The instructor is hilarious, and puts a lot of emphasis on simple, versatile recipes that can be modified to use whatever you have handy (one of the first assignments was to bring in something that's been in your kitchen cupboard for at least six months). Disaster recovery is a recurring theme. This woman needs her own cable show.

Also, trying to ignore the Republican primary race.

Hmmm...sounds fun, but you've never struck me as the type who would need a kinda basics cooking class. Going in as a ringer hoping to pick up a fixer upper?

Ignore the Republican Primary!? The Bad Lip Readings alone should be amazing! I do, however, VERY much miss Jon Stewart right now.

The problem with bad lip reading the RNC debates is that you will say less bizarre things then the candidates.

Lip reading the primaries sounds like watching a ventriloquist on mute. You already know what the person with their arm shoved up their ass wants them to say but you're missing the punchlines.

Actually sometimes it's fun to turn the sound down and watch the body language. Not in the debates, necessarily, where everyone is already performing; but on the Sunday political talk shows, it can be revealing.

It needs to be changed to "good lip reading" in this case...see if you can make them say intelligent, logical statements!

Limit physical activity to low impact things, such as swimming. She uses a walker and wheelchair at school. Couple of daily doses of ibuprofen to keep inflammation and pain down. Her blood flow to the affected area is good so doctor decided to hold off on surgery and see how things go. May need to do some traction at times, but that remains to be seen. Also seeing physio-therapy. She's still in the decay stage so anything could change.

Sorry to hear that. Hopes & prayers for a swift and uneventful rehabilitation.

Sure, but was it worth giving up your freedom for your daughter's health?

I give up less freedoms than you guys? I pay approximately same tax rates you guys would, but instead of a massive military to police the world (and invade Texas), we get over worked and underpaid doctors and nurses.

She's almost 8 Samira. We were told under 6, almost never surgery. Over 8, almost always surgery. She's in between but showing good blood flow so hoping to avoid surgery as there's no conclusive results to show that surgery is any better than not when blood flow is fairly good.

That's what the socialist-communists indoctrinated you to think after they stole all your liberty and replaced it with health care.
