SyFy has a new program about peoples' lives being "ruined" by the internet. As for the title question: I'm guessing it'll be Joph, for no longer being allowed near pet stores and anywhere they sell lawncare accessories.

Sort of. I'm imagining it's gonna feature people like the lady who tweeted about going to Africa but not having to worry about AIDS b/c she was white and people who claim they were harassed(and will conveniently forget to mention their $8k/month patreons from the "harassment").

Figuring out the asterisked word was porn and reading the article, it sounds like a show about people that had their fifteen minutes of fame by latching onto the coattails of some vocal flavor of the month group and want another crack at it. Sounds like the kind of show that'd have a laughtrack, or an America's Funniest Home Videos / Tosh.0 audience.

I saw the commercial for it and lost the last few shreds of hope I have for humanity. Just the title of the series was enough to annoy me. These idiots chose to do whatever they did to ruin their lives, the internet was simply the medium they used to do it. The massive avoidance of responsibility for one's own actions is disgusting.

Yeah, don't blame the internet for your ****** life. Take a good, hard look in the mirror first.

Then blame society instead, just like I do.

It'll be a group thing. They'll bring in a bunch of long-lost posters to tell stories about how they escaped allakhazam, and pity those who never were able to quit.

I figure that, if I wait long enough, eventually Alla will buy this place back from whatever Chinese investment firm owns it these days for $150.

Hell, I might be able to buy it for $75 if I stay put long enough.

You can use that hot varus bet money as a down payment. And use your free magazine to barter down the price.

$66k now for the whole thing it seems...

New minivan or ZAM.com? It's hard to compete with heated leather seats unfortunately.

Edit: Also found the stuff that needs to be fixed amusing.

And here we were worrying about people swearing too much...

Nothing makes your current car feel old like going and looking at new ones. Things seem to change so much in a few short years; all sorts of fancy new stuff. On the downside though, the navigation system doesn't seem to come with the lower tier Toyota minivans anymore, so sad day. Smiley: frown

Also apparently:

Ok, so I guess the way this is calculated, all of the subsites get their own Valuation and the net total is the true Val?

www.ffxi.allakhazam.com is $4297 now.

You could probably get the olde Lord of the Rings wing for pennies. Would be as useful as pennies as well.

Reminds me of the time in primary school where my friends and I clubbed together to buy an h-bomb. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but none of us knew how to use it or had any idea what to use it for. By the time we figured out how to use it and who we wanted to nuke, it was a dud.

This is what we call an Allegory.
