So I was gone for over a year, quit the game when I deployed for Iraq in April of 08. I decided to come back and work on leveling my White Mage. Before I quit I couldn't even go lfp for 2 minutes before I got an invite. Now I sit around for hours and eventually just give up. Anyone know why White mages aren't getting invites? I'm level 51 right now, just trying to get to 75 but at this rate FFXIV will come out first.

It's not just white mages that don't get invites, but a general lack of a population on the server.

I've come back for Christmas break and I have yet to see the server population go above 1.5k, and that's during Japanese Primetime. Invite rates have been considerably lower for everyone, and with a lack of an influx of new players the lower level areas are dead except for those leveling a new job.

My best suggestion is to find a nicely populated linkshell and level with them whenever possible. The linkshell I'm in, StarsofDestiny still has a healthy population (North American members mostly, with a handful of European players), so I don't have much of a problem when it comes to invites because there's always someone in the linkshell willing to go out, have fun, and party. So give it a shot, maybe you'll have better luck then.

Do you have your Scholar leveled to 37? It's by far the best support job for party situations at any level over 20, so you may be getting passed over if you don't have it.
