Hey everyone,
I'm setting up a Storms of Fate run for a few friends. If you want to come fight Bahamut on Monday June 7th at 8 PM EST, let me know.
If you want to join us, either reply here or let me know ingame.
Requirements:
- Having finished CoP (have obtained your ring)
- Get the two (2) cutscenes in Tavnazia Safehold and Lufaise Meadows
- Get the cutscene in Ru'Lude Gardens (that will activate the quest in your log)
Rewards:
- No direct rewards from this fight, except allowing access to other quests like Apocalypse Nigh
More info:
- max 18 people fight (looking to get at least 12)
- the usual food/meds/reraise
- All jobs welcome. If you are a melee, please come /nin
- The fight itself is uncapped, but we have to go through Riverne B01 which is lvlcap 50. Bring sneak and invis for the run. I already have a scale.
Bahamut's move list:
* Defensive: Protect V, Shell V, Stoneskin, Phalanx, Cure V
- He is fully buffed at the beginning of the fight.
* Offensive: Fire V, Flare II, Firaga IV, Silencega, Dispelga, Graviga
Absolute Terror
- AoE Terror
- Absorbed by Utsusemi
Trample
- AoE damage (~200-500), Knockback and Bind
- Absorbed by Utsusemi
Touchdown
- AoE damage when Bahamut lands
- Center is Bahamut himself
- 300-400 damage + Knockback
Tempest Wing
- Wind(?) elemental Cone Attack
- Used when in the air
- 200-400 damage
Sweeping Flail
- AoE with tail
- Used when someone behind Bahamut gets hate
- NOT Spike Flail
- 100-200 damage + Knockback
- Absorbed by Utsusemi
Mega Flare
- He uses this every 10% HP he loses.
- He insults the players before he uses it: "Children of Vana'diel, what do you think to accomplish by fighting for your lives?"
- Don't bother stunning this, he'll just use it again when Stun wears off.
- Forward directional AoE
- 600-800 damage
Giga Flare
- Forward directional AoE
- Used instead of Megaflare at 10% HP.
- Can use at will as a regular TP ability after 10% health.
- He insults the players before he uses it: "Contemplate on the good your death will bring as your mortal form is consumed by my brilliance!"
- It is faster than Megaflare and harder to stun.
- Stun this as there is a chance he will not try after stun wears, and may use Megaflare instead.
- Bahamut's special "2-hour"
- Roughly double Mega Flare damage (seriously...)
Strategy tips:
* Tank Bahamut straight up. No kiting. You need to control which direction he is facing.
* Keep Barfira on as much of your alliance as possible.
* Bahamut cannot be silenced though he can be stunned.
* Keep your softer characters to the sides of Bahamut to avoid Mega Flare
* Bahamut will always talk in /say before using Mega or Giga Flare. Consider it your last warning to clear out.
* Giga Flare will strike when Bahamut is at about 10% life remaining. Tank with godly armor or not, this thing HURTS. Have your healers at the ready.
