So it was my b-day on Nov 14th and I flew first class to FL and I"m drivin around in the camero (yellow of course) I'm headed to Key west tomorrow morning leaving from The Villages its suppose to be like an 8 hour trip so I'll try and post from key west tomrrow let y'all know how it goes.

It's still pretty crowded here on Lakshmi. Some times it seems like some of the abyssea NMs are perma camped.
Lowbie parties are pretty much dead though it seems.

I am not having a problem finding people to get things done with in game. Seems a lot of people are disappoint with FFXIV (so glad my laptop sucked too much to run it) and some are slowly wandering back to XI. Lol I saw XIV even just gave another free month. Ouch...

Yes they did and they just put out the specs for the update on November 25th. I was going to cancel my account if they didn’t extend it again. I really want this to be a good game and to suck me in like ffxi did but so far that has been a no go. I'm hoping the new changes will help dramatically. If this game doesn't pick up before I start getting charged I'm over it. I haven’t logged into the game in weeks, Just feel no need to.
What is it besides the crummy interface and lack of AH that is so bad?
Most common complaints I hear are that it just feels like there is nothing to do other than grind, and loads of complaints about the crafting.

This, There is no goal, no purpose, no reason to be there. The grind wouldn't even be that bad except there is very little party play and I miss that social aspect of the game.

Yeah. I was thinking to myself that I wanted to try out FFXIV after the UI update, but I wasn't interested in paying for it at the end of November. Then, SURPRISE! SE gives me another free month. They must be desperate at this point.

It really makes me kinda sad since I had really hoped to see some old friends in ffxiv. FFXI sucked me in pretty fast and I had no plans on ever playing it. It sucks that it seems like ffxiv isnt the same. :(
