Yup. You read that right.

Just throwing that out there.

Peter Segal (Get Smart and 50 First Dates) wants to produce it, but not direct it.

Predictions? I'm putting my money on "just as bad as the DBZ movie".

WB will probably just buy, then shelve it. Like so many other movies they've done it to. Like Beetlejuice Goes Hawaii.

Bleach would actually be harder to destroy than some other manga properties. Properly cast, the shinigami can reflect a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds and still be believable. They don't necessarily have to be Japanese-American, or even truly asian, if they're playing roles like Yoruichi or Aizen.

I'd say yes to Vanessa Hudgens as Rukia. She's petite enough and cute enough. I'd set fire to the WB studios if they went with Taylor Laurent as Ichigo, however.

Kenpachi better be 7ft tall though, and Forest Whitaker should be cast as Kaname Tōsen.

They're bound to. I mean, it'd be incredibly hard not to; you'd have to rewrite like hell to get a solid film script from Bleach. The problem is that all the ******** about before Soul Society is not good film (I figure the SS arc would be the film, ending with Aizen and Gin getting beamed up), but quite a few things happen there and it's a pretty tight script timewise as it is. You'd have to change the plot as well as the narrative.

What was I saying? Oh yeah, Hollywood can;t do rewrites for ****. Also, fans hate them regardless.
