And now we get the rest of the story
Interesting theories floating around on the site itself. I think a lot of folks are missing a key point though. Everyone blames Hurok for not telling Durkon about the prophesy, but by not telling Durkon it also means that the vampire formerly known as Durkon (aka: Greg), also doesn't know about it
. Which, ironically, might just be the saving grace here. If we assume that "Death and Destruction to us all" isn't just a reference to a smallish number of Dwarves killed by Durkon and his vamps, but to the whole "vote to have everyone killed by the gods, which will result in all the Dwarves being sent (literally) to Hel", and "When next he returns home" does actually refer to his family home and not the Dwarven lands in general (which Hurok apparently did believe at the time of the prophesy), then what's happening right now isn't the fulfillment of the prophesy. Yet. But if Durkon enters his family home *then* the prophesy will happen.
If Darkon knew the prophesy, he'd make sure to meet it by going straight to Durkon's home. He doesn't, so he wont. Or at least, not directly. Roy and crew, knowing the prophesy now, might realize this and may take extra steps to make sure he doesn't go home. Not sure exactly how that'll play out, but I have a feeling it'll factor in at some point. The fact that Durkon's mother is still around and in the area does seem to suggest that there will be at least some form of family reunion in the works.
I like that the story has seriously picked up the pace recently. Waiting up to two weeks for an update was getting a bit tedious.
