how is the Black TrCanary?

I looked her actor up, trying to see if she had any previous shows or movies that may have hinted toward it. Apparently she is the daughter of David Cassidy. So, maybe it does run in her family?

As a side note, I watched The Scribbler on Netflix last weekend. And did not realize that the main character of that movie was her. I don't see the resemblance at all. And I didn't care for the movie. Mash Sucker Punch and Identity together, remove all the giant robot samurai stuff, and you end up with this movie. You get to see her tits, so I guess that's a plus? (And, she doesn't look like a drugged out tranny).

So was the beginning of the episode with Gideon an attempt at name dropping without dropping actual names?

"Also known as "The Flash", founding member of <interrupted>" I assume the blank was Justice League

Edit:

So apparently they release spoiler comic-styled pages before the episodes actually come out. Turns out in that comic-spoiler, they had one more word, which they did not actually say in the episode. Founding member of Justice <interrupted>.

What a quote tease. Smiley: motz Smiley: laugh

I imagine they cut out "Justice" because there's some legal issue between tv and movie. Which doesn't really make much sense, since they're both being done by Warner Brothers. Part of me wants to rant about how Iris has only ever been static shocked twice in her life, but the chances are she was shocked often by Barry when he was in a coma and wasn't in control of his goesfast so, while not well done in the show, it does make sense how she got her BarryFlash reveal.

Eobard Aizen'd the crew. That was my favorite part. He not only was a step ahead, but had a speech prepared to twist the knife. I like him, he's an unrepentant straight up villain. I'm good with that, as long as they don't spend the next million episodes having him do nothing but badguy speeches.

Na na na na Edit-ion: I'm trying to give Arrow a chance, and have watched the last two episodes, but the only things I can think is that I want Felicity to be thrown out a window and this.

Cisco was absolutely amazing the entire episode. All those movie references had me in stitches. Even the end "Did he eat the banana?" had me in chuckling. Iris, on the other hand, had a reasonable moment when she pointed out that if she were in the loop she could help or protect herself. That moment was ultimately eliminated when you consider that they spent the first half of the episode with characters accidentally revealing things and her being shocked by it. "Barry likes me?! Dad knew Barry was Flash?! Eddie knew?!" She proceeded to google search "sewer," and then Tuxedo Masked Barry to beat telepathy with the power of love, and Grodd got smacked by the power of the TRAINFORCE. Apparently a punch with the force to break steel is weak to gorilla palms. Joe seems to be the show's token hostage. Wells trolling Eddie was great, too.

Enjoyed the episode, sans Iris.

Pretty mundane episode, especially when you consider Shield's season finale. More to give an excuse to refight old baddies instead of introducing new ones. The Wells vs Barry's Buddies fight was kind of neat, though Ollie being there seems to be at odds with his own show's plot. Also Nanomachines, son. The Barry vs Wells fight was the overall high point, enjoyed that a lot. Betting Wells let himself get caught.

Arrow showing up was a bit out of place. The last fight was a bit sudden, everyone showing up out of the blue like that. But I enjoyed it.

I thought they were going to save that for the finale episode though. Now I'm not sure what to expect other than a big cliffhanger.

Arrow Finale: Oliver's little sister is "Speedy". Captain Jack is the new Ra's al Ghul.

Barry shows up and saves the day. Saving everyone from Ra's al Ghul's dungeon, and then saving Nessa and Oliver from the plane crash. Barry was key to the Arrow's success. The Arrow was pretty much pointless for the Flash's success (as it would appear that Wells lost on purpose).

Overall pretty anticlimactic. Raysplosion was neat. Didn't really expect that, and it got a laugh out of me. At least they're hinting at him becoming more than Iron Man.

Flash Preview Commercial:
Barry: Why'd you kill my mom?
Wells: Because I hate you.

First 15 minutes were boring as hell.
Then it got a bit interesting, mixed with more boring.
Then nothing happened until the last 15 minutes or so.

Not a very thrilling season finale.

A bit of name dropping for DC Legends of Tomorrow, as was expected.

Caitlin not knowing what a singularity was, was strange. The line didn't fit her character, was thrown in just to have someone talk about it.

I don't know enough about the source materials to know who Cisco is supposed to be, but I read some stuff just now about it. Looks like Caitlin's going to do something as well. And now that she's married to Ronnie.

I liked the part at the end with Eddie, but prefer not to think about it too much. Cause you know... if Eobard never existed, then he never killed Barry's mom, and then *insert time travel paradoxes here*

I wonder how they are going to handle continuing seasons of Arrow, Flash, and DC Legends simultaneously. They weren't lying when they said that the Flash source material with the time traveling was a mess.

BLUE BALLS, CW. Smiley: motz

See, Arrow? That was how you do a season finale. You make people want to know what's going to happen. SHIELD did it, now Flash did it. Gotham kind of did it, too. Anyway, overall too much teen angst "will he won't he" that would have been better if they hadn't been running the commercial where he's introducing himself to his mother the whole last week. Eddie being wishy-washy about destinies and coincidences added little to the episode, other than turned him into the "Private who gets a love letter from his girlfriend in World War II" cliche of war movies. Once they ditched the drama and hit up the super hero angle, with the GoFast powers and such made the episode worth watching. Nice load of name drops. Rip Hunter, Speedforce, Jay Garratt's hat. Really want the next season.

There's a Francisco "Cisco" Ramon is in the comic as Vibe, but his powers are basically amped up Mary Sue Poots' vibrational powers and that sounds kind of different than having memories of alternate realities. Then again, some how Kitty Pryde got mind time travel powers so can't really bank on source material meshing with other media interpretations and what not. Caitlin Snow also seems to appear in books, as Killer Frost, who was from what I gather some kind of relationship with Firestorm, in that she needed his Fire to keep her from dying of her cold powers.

I figure Eddie gets shunted to a different timeline by way of Speedforce Time Warp, probably the future Eobard was from. Fancy futuretech Time Machine was sucked in as well, after all. He'll probably be back, with powers and anger issues his own, which'll bring back Eobard Wells.

The worst thing is we're in a dryspell now. Ant Man in July, but beyond that it'll be a while before the cape shows and such pick back up. Smiley: frown

Edit: Oh, and the special effects really blasted off the last two or three episodes. That slowmo-superspeed fight the last two episodes, and the wormhole punch were exceptional. Hope Legends doesn't take away from it, because that show is going to need a massive SFX money infusion. I hope SHIELD gets the message and transfers from the location budget to their SFX.

I think had they cut the 2-3 minute fight with Wells from the previous episode, added that to the beginning of this episode (extended of course). And cut the extended "Should I do it?" scenes from the finale, it would have been a better finale. A lot more active. Cause while what eventually happened in the finale was good, it took a long time to get there.
