Ash vs The Evil DeadFollow

It was groovy. There's little that is better on TV at the moment & even without Stars the first episode can be found online with googling it and adding the word "online" at the end. While time has passed since Ash's last appearance in Army of Darkness, and is addressed rather comically, Raimi picks up pretty much right where he left off.

I smiled ear to ear at the end of the episode when the reluctant hero emerged again!

Edit:
Starz is letting you watch the first episode for free now: http://www.starz.com/originals/ashvsevildead/video/0481357cab164e38a5ca162c3a340a67

That was pretty much my reaction, though I think there's still some discrepancy over the timeline. There was no mention of anything Army of Darkness related during the flashback sequence, which I found odd considering they mix both Evil Dead and Evil Dead II together for it. I think the scene where he's fighting the cute doll had me hooked ... you know, more than it being a Bruce Campbell Evil Dead sequel.

The demon in episode 3 was amazing. Not like I wasn't hooked just by the premise and players involved, but that was definitely above and beyond groovy.

The demon reminded me a lot of something out of Pan's Labyrinth.

And that was probably the weakest episode thus far! Besides going from a 45-ish minute pilot to 25min episodes, I have no complaints. And we'll be getting another season!!!

The last two episodes were pretty average, outside the special effects. I mean, I'm still digging it, but I admit it needs to pick up. Which I think part of the problem is that it's a half-hour show, so by the time you're getting settled into the episode it's already over. I might just be spoiled, though. All my favorite shows over the last decade have been hour long. House, Burn Notice, Agents of SHIELD, Flash, all hours.

Nice of them to bring back Ash's hand. One of the better parts of the second movie. I hope the future episodes have more Evil Kewpie and Smiles.

More blood, and Rednecks... and a few short shots of a topless Lucy Lawless.

She aged well. Smiley: thumbsup Thought it was a bit weak how she got taken out last episode, glad that wasn't the case but now it brings up the question of how she survived unscathed from being cremated.

The next episode should be good. The cabin, the possessed hand, and even a shot of the laughing Kandarian Demon Deer-head were all shown.

She must have worked a bit on her body from her time in Spartacus. Cause she definitely seemed more toned, and perky, than she did then.

As for her character, I am guessing that she made a pact with the "Evil" from the book thinking that Ash was the bad guy. The Deadites all seem to know her by name, and a bit by reputation.

Way to drop the ball, Ashley.

The series had valleyed a bit, but the last two episodes were definitely worthwhile and brought it right back up. The next season/batch of episodes can't come soon enough.
