Correction, thats the attitude of one person within the LS. You can't judge an entire LS by the actions of one person - If everyone did that, I doubt there woule be one linkshell in the entire game without a bad reputation. Shukapooka is not representative of the attitudes I see within the linkshell on a day to day basis, Aqaia is far closer to the average (although I'm not going to pretend we are all as kind, generous, and generally willing to help as she is - she really does go above and beyond the call of duty) .

Shukapooka is not a name I recognise from within the shell in my time there (apologies if you are posting under a different username than your FFXI character), and I rather resent the fact that you (and many other people) choose to judge us on one persons negative attitude , rather than focusing on the people that are actually attempting to be positive and resolve situations .

Of course, for the person without a Hagun, there is a problem - and a solution has been offered, which, while not ideal (and again, I wasn't a member at the time this whole thing went down) is still a FAIR solution . Yes, members are responsible for presenting the linkshell in a positive light , and I certainly think aqaia does that . Aqaia is a name I recognise, Shukapooka is not .

Either way, you can't judge a whole LS by the actions of one person . If people have been members of the shell, and dislike it, thats one thing . Meeting one person, or hearing tales of one person, and deciding we are all asshats, is quite another .

Alright PangArt, or should that be Bummage? You've cast a lot of accusations around and tried to drag this LS and me down into the mud. How about you reveal your ingame name? I'm Almantia, of British Geezers LS, who the **** are you?

I'm not getting that "Bummage" reference. Is it supposed to mean something? You're the 2nd person to mention that person, but I don't play as Bummage in game, never have.

The BG linkshell is far from the possibility of redemption. Perhaps you should make like a chocobogordo and run away. Well, not even that worked for them, lol.

So, who is PangArt?

Someone without enough faith in his statements to reveal his name , and who thinks one or two people doing one or two stupid things mean everyone in the linkshell is just as bad .

Jeez, if everyone took that attitude, I'd have to say that everyone who plays FFXI was a cheating ******* who took advantage of the duping, just because a few did! In fact, I'm so ashamed of everyone who plays this game, I'm quitting and going to HK online!

As I've said, I wasn't in the LS at the time of the Barik thing, so I don't know anything either way on that . I also don't recall ever seeing any mob stealing in my time in the LS. What I do know is since being in the LS,I've found members helpful, friendly , and knowledgable about the game .

Apart from Alma - he called me a scary man beast and chickened out of coming for a beer :P

Sparknotes Version : I never got my Hagun back for a whole month, damnit.










Hello, "Barik". This is the person who lent Barik the Hagun. Now, I just thought I'd post here because I thought I can helpfully clear this crap up (or just make it worse, woo!) as I don't want my friends getting all the fun. That, and drama llamas are amusing.

Like my friend said, before I left for college in August of 08, I had decided to let 2 of my LS mates and a supposed friend borrow my Hagun, since I was a nice guy and all, and really, why would I need a Hagun at college? I had gotten confirmation that I'd get it back when I returned for a break.

I came back for winter break (full 1 month, yah!) on Dec. 19 or so and after reactivating my account, I promptly sent Barik a tell inquiring how he was doing and to send me my Hagun back. Know what I got back? Silence.

Silence for a good few days - a week. Everytime I sent a tell, Barik was either afk, absent, or just ignoring me. I knew he was there too, I sent the tells when I saw him changing zones or when I logged on and off. So he must've been ignoring me right? Wonder why. After awhile, "Barik" finally sent back a tell, stating that "Barik" wasn't actually "Barik." Someone else was playing. I just told him to contact him as soon as possible (and since this guy apparently has Barik's number since he's a "RL friend"... it should be quick and painless, right?) so that I can get my Hagun back.

Friend takes forever. Actually, friend never really does try to contact Barik for a couple of weeks, even though he would "see him at christmas."

********* I kept on messaging and texting to see if the guy had gotten into contact with Barik. Nope.

About three weeks after I sent the initial tell to Barik when I got back from college, I finally got a reply, saying that Barik had just been busy and that he would send the Hagun as soon as possible. Much joy and merriment was had by me. I would finally get back my Hagun!


Wait, I never actually got my Hagun back?


That's right, I never got it back. Even though Barik said in a POL message that he had sent it to me one day before logging off, I never received a Hagun in my d.box. Unless an imaginary, fantasized Hagun counts. So, quite perplexed, I kept on messaging Barik. Barik replied he sent it and that he'd investigate with his friend to see if his friend took it back out... but Barik never came back after logging off one night.

So, for the last two weeks of my vacation, I sent at least a message a day to Barik, (I really want my Hagun) saying "Please send it back when you log on"



You really can't miss 40 messages in your mailbox.

But apparently, Barik did. I still don't have my Hagun.

Keep it as a Christmas present, my ***. (I know that probably isn't the real Barik.)
