Let The Noobs Unite!!! Or, At Least The Low-Levels ^^Follow

Hey All,

Was wondering if there was any interest in people looking for join a low-level LS for events. I just completed my second Dynamis-Sandoria run, and noticed some things:

1. Although it was my second run...I had no real idea what was going on. I had trouble working with a group that large because I had no experience with events like that, having not been involved much before. If I had been involved in lower-level events (besides kill stuff till an AF key drops then leave) that required alliances, I think my involvement in Dynamis would have been more fun, and I would have been able to contribute more. So, a lower-level event LS will enable people to gain valuable experience working within Alliances and BCNMs.

2. By the time you get to 75, almost everyone you know has either quit the game, or gotten one of their jobs into the 70s region (as we all know, some jobs level faster then others). The people who have done this, are now mostly interested in events like Dynamis, HNM, and farming to get leet gear so they aren't the poor people they were on their way up the first time.

Fortunately, or unfortunately for me, those events don't hold a lot of interest. I'm still fascinated with some of the lower-level events that I ignored on my way up the first time, like:

1. Garrison...all I know about garrison is it's somehow involved in the mannequin quest. That's all.... There's got to be more.....

2. Expedition Force....I changed cities and now have no conquest points...can't you get bonus conquest points from these events? And I know it effects conquest rankings...

3. Promivian--I know, many people would argue that these events are geared towards those that have a high-level job already, based on the gear that is needed to equip your job right, and the somewhat specific nature of the jobs involved--but the facts are that they can be completed at level 30 (have to be), and supposedly open up expansion zones (I wouldn't know personally, having only completed Promivian-Mea).

Am I the only person interested in these things? It seems like every conversation I have with my friends in-game these days is HNM this, Dynamis that, camping here, camping there...

Proposed outline for the Linkshell:

A. There will be no events scheduled over level 60. In other words, once you've got AF3, there are other linkshells, better established, and more knowledgable to help do higher-level things if you want to. Eventually, might we create a higher level linkshell if everyone wants to stay together, sure, but that's for the future.

B. If you want help, you have to give it. This appears to be a fundamentally misunderstood part of the game from the NA side. It seems like we keep expecting a guide to be given to us with a cheat code that unlocks the secret 100 million gil hidden in everyone's moogle. *First: press x 3 times to stab your moogle....* The game doesn't work like that. Dynamis-Sandoria took 60 people...and only 5 got 2nd AF. A core part of the vision of our linkshell will be our willingness to help others with things they need, EVEN IF WE DON'T GET ANYTHING OUT OF IT OURSELVES.

C. To avoid the 'moocher' mentality, there will be a point system put in place to ensure that drops on events (like mannequin parts at garrison), are distributed fairly, based on involvement with the Linkshell and Linkshell events. (If you look around, you will find this is a fairly common method of tracking invovlement in a HNM LS or a Dynamis LS, and it seems reasonable to me to copy it).

D. The LS will also be a hang-out LS for people who find they like the other people in the LS. Do you have to hang out there? No. Can you come just for events? Yes. Can you keep the pearl on all the time if you want to? Absolutely.

E. Help up to rank 6 will be shceduled on the /lsmes (higher ranks require jobs over level 60, and hence fall under the 'No events over 60' guideline). Besides, it is hard to complete ranks over 6 without going outside your LS anyway, because many take alliances to complete due to the difficulty of the NM they pop, and few LS keep 18 people from each city around just to complete rank missions.

Thanks for your responses all. Others have responded to me in game as well, so this is a go. I have purchased the Linkshell with the due amount of deliberation over color and decided to go with....hot pink^^. And the Linkshell name is UnitedNoobs.... just seemed appropriate considering the premis behind the Linkshell.
